Hi, here in the UK, every year we have a thing called Comic Relief (Red Nose Day)- It's a day even redder than valentines. Anyway- people can wear rubber red noses, dye their hair and do stunts in the streets for this charity, which helps many causes in different countrys and in the UK. It involves a 7 hour tv presentation of sketches, comedians, celebrity dares etc. There are always some old classics, with presenters reappearing, and keeping it British- using all the things that were and things that are popular in the UK (Wallace and Gromit always get mentioned, French and Saunders always do a sketch- This year it was Harry Potter) And it gives repressed serious newsreaders a chance to strip or wear women's clothes. And now there are about three celebrity versions of Gameshows (There's been 2 celeb big brothers, but the other one was another charity, this year- Ruby Wax came second in Fame Academy) but anyways- Does the US have any quaint, fun little celebration days like this? There's another one, children in need, but it isn't nearly as fun, a mock Michael Jackson interviews on later. But- any holidays like this at all, i've never heard of them.
