She played Nell's sister. She died the same way as Nell did. She collapsed at home.

Yes, she was on the Carmen show and made appearances in other series like "Law and Order", "thirtysomething", the "Cosby Show", "Roseanne", and others.... She, just like Nell, also won a Tony for the Broadway show "An American Daughter". She was in a two part episode (#80 and #81 in the Episode Guide) when Nell went home to Alabama in the 1984-1985 season and another episode when she came to Glen Lawn with marriage troubles (#108). Good gravy and enough!! Three people that were on GAB have left this year in less than two months, and this year isn't that old...... :( People associated with the show must be tired of funerals.....

Oh i see about that...i vagly remember her on GAB. I can picture her voice from carmen san diego show...it was a deep voice.

Do a Google search with her name.... I came up with lots of sites about her and they had some pictures of her.... ;) She was also on the CBS show "The District" which shut down production according to the obituary I read on one site...... In the Alabama show, Nell, Addy and Loretta (Nell's sister's name) sang a memorable medley of songs in the living room! :D

That was a great role for her as was the one of her sister...I VIVIDLY recall the episode in Alabama where they find a tape of some old songs and Lynne, Nell and Telma sing a bit...

We MISS enough of this cast...COME ON UNIVERSAL give us a break and give us the DVDs we SOOOO richly want ;)
