How many seasons does a show have to have to be considered a long-running sitcom? I consider 2 or less to be a failure. 3-5 to be an good run. 6-whatever to be a long-running show.
However, with my 2 or less, that doesn't include shows from the 1960's, because, a few of those shows are classics with only 2 seasons.

I consider 1-2 seasons short-lived, 3-5 seasons to be good runs, and 6+ seasons to be long-running.
I don't think the quantity of episodes/seasons always equals quality. Andy Richter Controls the Universe was a wonderful show for the 2 seasons it's been on (I'm not hopeful that it will se a 3rd season) while Full House was 8 seasons of torture. Everyone has different tastes, I guess.
