Who doesn't hate N@N? It's totally messed up now and not nearly as good as it used to be. Thank God I've already seen Going to Pot when TC was on the new tnt (which, also sucks)...cause who knows when N@N will show it...

I heard that N@N is not airing "Going to Pot" because of the storyline in that episode. The episode is about Jack asking Mr. Furley to go get him a Pot from downtown so he can cook in it which happens to be from Mexico. But the police organizes a drug bust because they overheard a convo between Mr. Furley and Larry and thought Mr.Furley was smuggling POT into the country-LOL. I think N@N feels that this episode is not appropiate for their network. If ABC aired it why not N@N?

I don't remember this episode, but how is it worse than "Days of Beer and Weeds"? That is the episode where Janet, Chrissy, and Jack pull weeds out of the Roper's yard that actually turns out to be WEED! I've seen that episode on N@N a bunch of times. Did they stop airing that one as well?

I know right? Yeah they still Air DOBAW but they don't air GTP plus they won't air The Charming Stranger because Jacks Balls flop out of his pants...I think the should cut the damn part.

Yeah, they should show "Going To Pot". I mean, it mentions pot, yeah, big woop, but if you think about it... TNN aired it in the morning when kids can watch (Obviously they don't want kids to watch a show about pot), but NICK AT NITE airs Three's Company at 3:00 in the early morning when no kids are awake, so i mean it's not like kids will turn on the TV and get a negative message from the show, because they're going to be asleep....

hopefully that was clear enough.. lol... but I saw "Going To Pot" on TNN and I thought it was a good episode, but I didnt tape it!
Oh well...

Yeah i watch it on TNN also and luckily I taped it. But you are right, if N@N air TC at 3am in the morning why not air Going to POt. That's why I posted on the General Board that N@N is the weirdest network on planet earth.

I don't understand why they don't air The Charming Stranger. I mean you can only see anything if you are looking for it, and most people aren't going to be looking lol. When they first noticed they said they were gonna edit it out, but they didn't when it aired on TNN. And they can't really edit it out because I think it was during a scene that sets up the plot of Jack thinking criminals are living next door.

It's so stupid of N@N not to air it. I mean there is no real pot in it, but there was in "Days of Beer and Weeds." And it's a good episode, imo. Hopefully next time they go through the run they'll air it.

TNN didn;'t have to edit that part out because the black bar didn't allow viewers to see that part that was noticed on N@N.

TNN doesn't block out anything on screen from what I've read, they squeeze em up to fix above the black bar. I have some screen captures on my site from Going to Pot and the black bar made some of the pictures look really distorted.

Oh and one of my friends saw the TNN version and claims to have seen the 'blue' part lol.

Werm well see the thing that makes me think they didn't block it is the fact that is a little higher than the black bar is. They'd probably have to extend the black bar or something, I don't clearly recall it because my N@N copy of the episode got eaten by my VCR a year or two ago.

Well that's hard to answer lol. I usually put werm when I'm either thinking or when I'm confused, though usually it's when I'm thinking. Technically werm means everything yet means nothing, but that's the two ways that it is commonly used by me, the other people who use members of the erm family, and the creator of werm, Beruche. That is the lesson on werm. ;)

It would have to have been TNN though since he never saw it on N@N. I've never personally noticed anything in that episode, btw. I think its' silly that N@N won't run it.

Sean i just looked at the episode Charming Srangers and yes the black bar on TNN blocks out that horrible scene. The reason i know is because I remember someone telling me what scene it was in the episode. It's the scene when jack goes in his bedroom and sits on his bed and started hearing voices in the next apt. In that scene, The TNN black bar blocks out the part of something falling out of his shorts. So you friend did not see anything on TNN.

What a crazay fool I am. I didn't actually believe that story about "Charming Strangers." John Ritter was on Conan just a few weeks ago and I thought he was probably BSing. I'd never heard that story before! He did tell it wrong apparently because he said he was jumping over the couch. Has this been known for a long time? John said some guy from Tacoma, WA discovered it in the first place and got real pissed and was gonna take action if it wasn't cut for good. Leave it up to someome from Tacoma. There's something in the water there!

The scene is actually in dispuit...I've heard some sources say it's when Jack is on the couch in the living room... Werm How can the black bar be blocking it out? The black bar isn't used to block part of the picture out. That makes absolutely no sense to me whatsoever.

If I remember correctly, he is on the couch when (I think..I haven't seen it in a long time, so I may be off) Terri (or Janet? or both?) enters.

Honestly, I think that it depends. The scene may very well be in there, but some people seem to have trouble finding the part where he is exposed, including myself. Werm I've only heard a few people say oh I saw it and such.

The only time Jack is sittin down with boxers on that episode is when he is in his room listening to voices next door. When he is the couch he is sideways and has on a robe so like i have been saying the TNN bar blocks out that blue scene,

SOLOMON, when he gets off the couch is one of the parts that I read that he exposes himself. I'm just saying that the TNN bar does not block ANYTHING. I mean compare one episode from N@N with a TNN copy of it. They just squish it up for TNN, not block anything. The picture would be HORRIBLE if they put the black bar OVER it. There would be somethings that could be seen because of the black bar.

I'm talking about TC overall on TNN. TNN did not block out parts of the picture and it's absurb to think that imo. I mean a network can't go around blocking part of the picture of the episodes because there may be something important to the plot that takes place in that lower half. TNN aired it the way it aired on N@N, everything intact and nothing cut - or blocked - out. You are the only person who I've ever seen say (well, type actually) that TNN blocked out part of the picture.

Does anyone have screen caps?

Maybe PB's site does? Werm they may not be from that scene but his site has a lot of pictures from episodes so maybe it has a few from The Charming Stranger...like at least 1,000.

From what people posted, it seems that N@N and TNN aired the exact same version, which they do with other episodes. N@N/TNN/TV Land always air the same version if a show is on two channels. I caught it back on N@N and from what I've read TNN did not cut out anything. Did you see it on N@N? If not, how can you assume that TNN cut out something when you never saw the N@N version? And if you did, explain to me what scenes/parts/lines were cut out.

Thank you Mashunter-That is the scene i haVE been referring to all weekend. I have that episode on tape from TNN and he goes in the room and takes his robe off and sits on the bed and the black bar at the bottom of the screen on TNN blocks a viewer from seeing that particular scene. Now if the black bar was not there, then that scene probably would be visible.

The scene is correct, but SOLOMON you are wrong on the black bar cutting the scene out. The black bar does not affect any part of the show, it just squeezes the show's scenes more in.

I think this has gone long enough.
