HELP!
30 years ago I found a 16 mm film of an I Love Lucy show on a shelf in an old library of the school I worked at.
I have never seen it on TV and I have been watching I LOVE Lucys' since a kid.
How can I determine if its truly a lost episode?
How do I determine its value, I want to sell it. The film has some damage from a house fire and will need some restoring before viewing again.
I dont remember what its about either.

Wow! Are you serious? I'm would assume you could get loads for it. So do you have a way of viewing it to let us know what it's about?

I guess Im gonna have to risk some damage to the begining of the film to try to see what the episode is about.
Does anyone know if there IS a missing episode?
I can't view my film with a projector or hear the sound track.
Just looking at the frame by frame pictures and figuring out what the show is about isnt gonna be easy.
Maybe I can take some digital pictures of a few frames and post them and hope someone recognizes the episode?
I bet there are many episodes with Lucy and the gang in her living room talking, which is what I remember manuelly viewing years ago, and that wont be much help.
big SIGH

Do the show makers put volume numbers or dates at the end of episodes?

If there was really a "lost" episode, some Lucy fan somewhere would know about it as there have been hundreds of books and tv specials about the series made. You probably have just one of the regular episodes, but you will really not know until you are able to view it.

Try posting a digital picture here, hopefully one of us can figure it out if it's from an episode that we know. Do you know if it's long enough to be an episode? Or could it possibly some edited scene film from an episode that did air?

The episode I have is full lenght with commercials if I remember back 30 years correctly. We laughed at them then.
I was told there are no lost episodes, just lost scenes at the beginging of the episode.
I will in about a week try to take digital pictures of the begining and middle frames and if successful I will post them

I know that this post is 22 years old. Does anyone have this film reel?
