I'm so ready to scream. I've already spent part of my morning in tears and it's just not getting better.

If you remember me posting 3 weeks ago, I wrecked my car in one of the snow storms we had here on the East Coast. I've been driving a rental car since then because the place I'm getting my car at is having a part repaired on it (which is good, I dont want a lemon). The problem is is that they've had to wait for that part to come in. In the meantime, my insurance only covered so much of the rental fees and then I began to have to pay them. Well. The car that they rented to me has automatic locks, as in when you put the car in gear it locks, etc. This morning, all of 7 degrees outside, I went out to start the car and let it warm up before taking my daughter to school. What happens? The car LOCKS when I get out of it and I am locked out. Not only am I locked out of the car, but my KEYS are in the car and I can't get into my house. My daughter and I are standing outside FREEZING waiting for the towing place to come and jimmie my car lock open. HOw much? $50. For 3 seconds. I'm using any money I got from the insurance company (all of $500) that I need for a downpayment on my next car paying all these rental fees and then this locked fee, etc. I'm so frustrated I can't even think straight. I keep waiting and waiting for some sort of BREAK but it ain't happening. :(

That stinks. I hope things get better soon.

If you don't mind me asking, what part of the East coast are you from? I'm from Massachusetts and I'm sick and tired of this brutally cold and snowy weather.

I'm sorry for your troubles.

This bitter cold winter makes every bad thing a little worse.

When things start to warm up and the sun shines daily, I'm sure your optimism will improve and the worst will be behind you.

I live in Pennsylvania. I really dont mind the winter, I like snow and all but I think I'm ready for it to be over this time around. I just feel so depressed - I can't seem to shake it. I know it has to do with the weather but when things like this morning happen it just doesn't make it better or easier at ALL.

Hey, I'm sorry about your bad day. I know how you feel...my day hasn't been heaven either. But it'll get better!

Look at it this way- you now know what type of car NOT to buy- one with automatic locks! :)
