I watched most of the Screen Actors Guild award show and they showed James Gregory in the "In Memorium" part. I'd forgotten that he passed away recently. Anyway, I couldn't believe that the clip they showed was not from Barney Miller! I mean, I know he's done a lot of other stuff, but come on! It's Inspector Luger! How could they not show a clip of him saying, "It's poppycock, Barney!" or something?!

I agree. I know that James Gregory had an illustrious film career prior to Barney Miller, but he's most identified at Inspector Luger. I didn't see the SAG Awards, but what were they thinking? It borders on sacrilegious.
I'd say someone dropped the ball on that one. :rolleyes:
