Omg, if I ever had a child, I don't know how in the world I would be able to choose one over the other. I just don't know. But, I think the parents made the right choice by going with Erin, the older one. The baby has more time. And if the operation becomes a success, then maybe the insurance company will rethink their decision.
At first when I read about this episode and how they would have to choose their own child...I thought it would be different. When Andy said they could use the umbilical cord blood, I don't know why, but I thought this might harm the baby. So, they would have to choose over saving Erin and letting the baby die, or letting Erin die because giving her the baby's blood was too dangerous for the baby. *shrugs* guess I was wrong.
