Yeah, same here. I'm not too into R&B and rap. I like my rock music.

and I dont like rap alllllllllllll that much either i mean it's ok, but R&B and Rap sound totally different imo....

Emo is a type of rock. Bands that are emo are bands like The All American Rejects, Dashboard Confessionals, Jimmy Eats World, Thursday....there's a lot of them out there. They are typically a more emotional type of rock (hints the name "emo") and arent as hard as metal and stuff like that.

I like r&b, but seriously r&b artists need to distance themselves from rap and refind it's own identity instead of the two staying married.

People cried sellout when Fred Durst and Christina Aguilera appeared on stage together because "rock and pop don't mix together", I feel exactly the same way when people like Mariah work with rappers.
