Wh*t kind of church do you go to? I *m * Southern B*ptist

My mother äppärently does not respect my beliefs in not believing in God, so she still mäkes me go to Church... I'm ä Cätholic.

I wäs räised Cätholic but I don't go to church *nymore. I believe in God but I don't like some of the Cätholic rules. I've been seriously considering converting to änother religion becäuse I would like to stärt ättending church äg*in.

Well I was originally Catholic, but to make a long story short....I switched to Methodist because its sooooooo much better. Oh man.

Southern Baptist

I go Baptist church

I got to a Reformed church

I have no religion so I don't go to church. The only time I ever have gone was when I was in primary school (age 5 - 12) cos they made us go whether we wanted to or not! They were actually quite diplomatic about it - one time we'd go to the Christian church in the village, then the next time we'd go to the catholic church.
It sucked.
I won't set foot in a church or chapel now - not even if you paid me!

I have been to church exactly once. I don't even remember what sect or whatever it was cause I was about 7, and I went with my friend's family.

I am Pennecostal. You know-- one of those Holy roller people who swing from the chandaliers. (That was a joke, by the way). :p :lol:

Well, actually, I am Pennecostal. But, I've never swung from a chandalier.

I'm Catholic, but I'm thinking of switching to Protestant. I don't agree with some of the rules of the Catholic church at all.

I haven't been to church since the late 70's.

Well, actually, I am Pennecostal. But, I've never swung from a chandalier.

LOL! I Used to be Penncostal and it was always funny. The Pastor was really old (In his 70's or so) But he would sometimes get really rowdy and run around LOL

But i no longer go by a religion. I Believe in God, But i dont believe in religion, So i dont really go to a Church.

I go to the Trinity Evangalical Free church in Holdrege, I like my church.

Lutheran (Wisconsin Synod):)

I used to go to church when I was little because my dad forced me, but now I don't go because I'm a wiccan and so is my mom. :D

..and whenever I twitch my nose it rains. ;)

anyway, i go to a nondenominational church. It's not a cwertain "label" like methodist,lutherian... it's just Christian. We believe in god, jesus, the trinity and everything in the Bible we just don't title ourselves. its more of a teachging church.. nonforecful. its confusing i know.

I go to a Catholic Church...when I go to church. I don't like going and my family hasn't gone in a few weeks so I'm like yay! :D

I'm Catholic but I hate the church here. Some people are really nice and caring but then there are others who just bite your head off if you don't agree with everything single thing they say, whether church related or not. People here are so uptight, it's unbelievable. I liked my church back in Chicago much better because basically everyone there was great. You didn't feel like an outsider an you could voice your opinion without being chewed out for it.

You and me both. I figure I'm doing alright without anyone shoving strict religion down my throat. I'm no bigger sinner than a lot of overly religious people.

When I get married, I want it performed by a non-denominational minister. My folks did.

I Didnt really know their was a term. I Have nothign against Churches, Their all Houses Of God, Its the religions i dont believe in. I Dunno if that makes sence, But thats the way i feel.

Anyways- Baptist Church, but I stopped going. Id go back, but right now Im too lazy to get up.

I'm catholic but I don't go to church that often...we..."forget". I don't plan to go that much when I'm older

My family is not that religious. The only time I ever go to church is when there is a Christmas caroling at the church. I went this past year with my Mom and my Aunt, but no-one in my family is really religious. I don't even have one actual religious background. My mom was catholic and my grandfather was Jewish, but married an English woman who didn't convert to Judaism. And, my dad doesn't seem religious or spiritual in the least. Even though I'm not religious, I still believe in a supreme being.

I attend a fundamental, independent, KJV Baptist church. In fact, my hubby is the pastor. :)

I go to Church of Christ..... and no, my church isnt one of those stereotyped church of christs like tends to be around here....we go by the bible....and we do what i think is right

Sorry, this is a church thread. Anyway, I don't go to church. I'm agnostic. Sometimes I go because I do enjoy church. I especially love the music and I think that some of the artwork is amazing. I respect all religions, I just haven't found comfort in any particular one as of yet.

I think that's a really neat belief, because it seems like you've weeded out all of the idolatry and materialism and are making religion a personal thing (which I totally agree with).

Deism is the correct term, for those who believe in creation, but basically believe that after creation God left life up to individuals (who didn't necessarily need to worship him). The term was coined during the Enlightenment in France (late 1700s) by thinkers who believed that religion was becoming the antithesis of knowledge and wanted to explore more intellectual, scientific, and humanist theories.

My mother is a deist and I have leanings in that direction,too:crazy:

I believe the correct spelling is Pentecostal.

Anyway, I don't go to church... but if I did, I think I'd rather be Protestant Christian. Saying "Jesus, save me" and getting to go to heaven sounds a lot much easier than all that you have to do in every other religion.
