When I Love Lucy moves over to TV Land this fall, how do you think TV Land will pay tribute to the show? Do you think the days of uncut/unedited Lucy will return or do you think they'll air a run-of-the-mill marathon using their current poorly edited episodes? Is anyone looking forward to the switch from Nick to TV Land?

I don't think that Tv Land will edit their episodes any differently. They showed a Lucy episode a few mothes ago on Tv Land, where Lucy goes to Paris, and it was edited.

One can only hope the shows are unedited, but the almighty dollar speaks pretty loud. That's why I'm buying the series through Columbia House. I remember when N@N first showed them unedited. I still remember some of the scenes; I even had them on tape but stupid me I taped over them. As far as the move, I'm looking forward to it because all of my other favs are already on TVLand, so now it's just one stop shopping. I hope they show other Lucy stuff the week it comes on the air. I mean anything Lucy, Desi, etc. Lucy Show eps., Here's Lucy eps., Life with Lucy eps., guest appearances, anything. I recently got this book that lists all of Lucy's TV appearances and I'd love to see some of the rare stuff. Please TVLand!!! How about eps. of the Mothers-In-Law? Desi was on that show a few times and he was the executive producer.
What do you mean by unedited and uncut?

When the show was made originally for CBS, it ran 25-26 minutes, plus commercials. These days, syndicated reruns ususally run 20-21 minutes in a 30 minute slot, with the rest of the time alloted for commercials. Ever since I Love Lucy went into syndication, about 5 minutes per episode have been cut out. When the show first joined Nick-at-Nite, they ran unedited, complete episodes for the first time in years, but that didn't last long.
New to this board, first I'd like to say that I LOVE LUCY is by far the best show ever made. I am 18 yrs old living in the 21st century and this 1950s classic is by far the tops! As far as the show moving to TVland, I'm not too concerned, because I have TVland. In fact, I am hoping it airs earlier than the 1:00 a.m. time slot on N@N. Does anyone know what time it will air? Are they gonna show the LUCY-DESI COMEDY HOUR, because I LOVED that!!!
