I would watch out for eggs that I might step on, or a burro that might step on me. In case I saw the back end of a horse I would say, "Hello Ethel." I would keep all my pockets buttoned in case Madame X snuck in. In case I overheard other tenants talking about blowing up the capitol, I would get my shotgun ready and wear a pot on my head for protection. I would check the ledge outside the window to see if Lucy was eavedropping, or if Superman might be there. I would take my pitchpipe along in case the cast wanted to sing "I Tippy-tippy Toe Through my Garden." I would expect Lucy to introduce me to Ricky as her 'long-lost first husband.' If the Society Matrons' League reps came by, I would tell them what a phony-baloney club they have.

After all these exhausting activities I would expect Lucy or Ricky-- or both-- to yell their most overused rhetorical question... "What's the matter with you?-- are you crazy or something!?"
