Anyone a fan?

I am...I love Thursday, Dashboard Confessionals, Thrice, Jimmy Eat World (they're earlier CD's are Emo), Taking Back Sunday, Finch, etc.

I am a BIG emo fan. Here are the bands I like:

Finch
Saves the Day
Dashboard Confessional
AFI
The Ataris
Coldplay
...and many more!

Starting Line is also very good.

I despise emo.

Over the past two years...emo has just gone bad. There have been very good emo bands to come out. Infact Bright Eyes are the only good new one I can think of....I want to kill Dashboard Confessionals...they're just whiney pop music. Also, some of the bands people are listing aren't really Emo...

Finch and Jimmy Eat World are awesome.
Emo is such a difficult genre to define though. Personally I wouldn't class Finch as Emo - they sound very like Hoobastank (but without the rapping) IMO.

Yeah, tell me about it... I mean, a lot of people consider Thrice as a punk band. If you go to plyrics.com (it's a punk lyrics site) you'll see Dashboard Confessional listed there, Jimmy Eat World, Saves the Day, Simple Plan, etc etc. The previously mentioned people are not Punk, by my standards.

I love "emo." Whatever you want to call it. Taking Back Sunday, Thursday, Brand New, Finch, AFI, ect.
