On a recommendation from a mate of mine I joined Friends Reunited. You've probably heard of it - you register your name, what school you went to and the year you left and you can then look for other people from your school who've registered and find out what they've been doing since they left.
I thought it sounded like a good idea but I wish I hadn't joined now. Everyone I was at school with are apparently living really eventful and fun lives while I'm still stuck at home with my parents. The worst part is that I found out what has happened to the girl I was completley head-over-heels in love with -

She's now living down in England with her girlfriend.

I know I should be happy for her but I feel like $h!t right now.
Anyone else joined Friends Reunited or any similar schemes? If so I hope your experiences with it have yielded better results than mine.

I'm registered with Classmates.com. I've talked with a couple people through the message boards.

I've never heard of Friends Reunited. Sounds interesting.

However, I don't think I'll be trying to get in touch with any old "friends" any time soon Mossopp.

Yea, I was going to just say that about Classmates.com.

I joined two, but you have to pay for the damn things!! I don't care about any of those people enough to pay to read their bios. Classmates.com and reunion.com

And to the guy I was in love with in high school...I wish he was living in England with his girlfriend. At least he wouldn't be in the same f-ing country as me.

But I know how ya feel, Mossopp. There was a time when I would have felt like ***** too.

My mother joined that site. She went to St Monica's Primary School, and left there in 1956. Then she went to Lourdes RC Secondary School, she left there in 1959. Not very interesting, I know, just thought I'd share since the topic came up.
