I will have to say it's a toss up between the 77-78 and 78-79 season. But if i had to pick one I would have to say the 1978-1979 season.

Ron Albanese 03-10-2003, 09:50 AM Gotta admit I'm not as good as you guys at identifying specific seasons, but Yes, I'd want that late '70s "sweet spot" era, when there were tons of great characters, and the chemistry was on overload ... everyone seemed to be so happy, and the live audience was nuts ... that energy is what made me love the show ... it was like you were watching the magic of the '70s unfold right before your eyes! But, I STILL love those later (Richie-free) episodes ... Ron |
