Have you ever had a friend that you thought was really cool and a good friend and one day turn on you and like hate or something? What are your stories?

I'll post mine after a few posts in.

Thanx

Oh yes. Back in high school, myself, my friend Nicole, and another girl named Carol were all best buddies. When we were in 9th grade, Nicole and Carol got boyfriends. Carol Said that Nicole was changing because of her boyfriend, and I agreed with her (it was true). So Carol and myself kind of teamed up to try to make Nicole realize her change. Well, stupid me was blind (for awhile, anyways) to the fact that Carol had changed much more than Nicole had. I eventually started to notice how Carol would disappear from our group of friends at lunch to spend time with her boyfriend. Carol and Nicole eventually had a fight over who was changing more, and I was left in the middle and it seemed that I had to choose sides. Nicole came around and realized that she had changed for the worse, and Carol just got worse and worse. Carol decided she no longer needed her friends since she had a boyfriend. Well, today I'm still friends with Nicole, and Carol does not have that boyfriend that she sacraficed her friends for, and she lost all of her friends.

I was best friends with this girl Courtney in third and fourth grade. We started to grow apart over the next couple of years because we didn't have classes together, but I didn't realize how bad it was until eighth grade. We had a class together, but she was totally rude to me. Every time I said something to her, she'd be like, "I'm talking to so-and-so" or she'd just ignore me. I quit speaking to her and associating with her, and have barely thought of her since.
I've also had a lot of friends that pretended to like me but said crap about me behind my back. Fortunately we are not friends anymore.

Well, I have a best friend and we used to never fight. Well this semester we have all the smae classes togheter and it seems we fight all the time about poltics, and little annoyances. Also, she gets betetr grades than me and makes me feel dumb. (which i shouldn't because I make As and Bs.) Well, next eyar she is like "we should do like we did this year and gte the smae classes." I was like "Court, you know what I can't have the smae classes with you. Its too much copetition." Wells he didn't understand why. (of course not because she makes the btter grades.) i dunno she is just really getting on my nerves

Er....no...but I've been the evil ex-best friend. And to defend us sad people, I would just like to say that things change and people change. And while it doesn't make you a bad person, it just means you've changed. I had one best friend throughout Middle School, well...she got annoying after a while. Very...probably because we had both changed. She was so selfish and self-centered, and uneducated, then again I was the only politically aware 6th grader in my school.

And she was the school rebel. She was the one who never ate in the cafeteria, always wore black, criticized everything, y'know? Well, I decided I was too goody-goody for her and I sat in the cafeteria. She told me to come with her and I said no, because it was time for us to end our friendship. She's still the school goth, and while I'm not mean to her in her face, we'll talk about her behind her back. What can I say, I'm not proud of it, but people change.

*see the enemy thread*

My ex-roommate. We were really good friends until we became college roommates. Best way to gain an enemy is live in a 10x10 room with them.

She couldn't take me being me. I did things they way I always had, and that somehow clashed with her controlling personality. I'm an only child- I'm not gonna listen to some ho who's used to bossing her little brother around.

She was also very jealous of me. It was so obvious she should have had it tattooed on her forehead. I'm prettier than she is, I never worked as hard as her for the same grades, boys liked me better...I know that sounds egotistical.

She got so jealous that she tried becoming me. She started using the same lotion, shampoo, etc. as me. She started to like NASCAR after never having heard of it before. Single White Female part 2. God, I hate her.

I was friends with this girl, Kate, since 4th grade. When we started high school, she started hanging out with this group of more popular girls. They made it clear that they did not like me at all. I never understood why because I was nothing but nice to them. Anyway, they managed to completely turn her against me by the end of our sophomore year.
I've also had friends who were kind to me to mu face, but made fun of me behind my back.

My old best friend, Jamie, I was friends with her since I was three. We started to grow apart in 5th and 6th grade when I was obsessed with I Love Lucy. She didn't like the show because "it was in black and whitw," which is what she used to say. It was like she didn't want to be associated with the Lucy freak. Then in junior high she made friends with all the popular people and we don't even talk anymore.

:D Yep, even that at 11, I thought it was immature for the whole "black and white" excuse. She was really into dance and I hated that but I didn't look down on her because of it.

Yeah, I suppose people change. I used to hang out with this one group in middle school. We were the best of friends and then when we all started high school, we kind of started to drift apart.

The signs started showing up that we were growing apart when were in 9th grade. By the time we finished high school, we were completely apart. I didn't hate them. We just drifted. I'd still occasionally say hello to them, if I saw them, but it just wasn't the same as before. I won't say they were the only ones that changed, won't say that I was the only one that changed, we all changed.

Sometimes if you're dealing with a group of friends and growing up, you might manage to hold onto those friends for so many years. It didn't happen that way with my group of friends. We all went our own ways. It's part of life.

Edit: I don't even know how it would be now. My best friend in the middle school group was named Amber. Her father died about a month or so ago and I really wanted to call her and see how she was doing. I didn't do it. How would that look? She dropped out after 9th grade and we hadn't seen each other in years. Maybe it would've been the nice thing to do to call her up after her father died to see how she was doing, but I just couldn't call her up. I think it would've been awkward if I did do that. Idk.

Like I said, it all goes back to we all change.

Yes and no... I'm glad it didn't because I love my best friend.. Ok, me and my best friends Stacie and Kim knew eachother since pre-school(we lived in the same neighborhood). Anyway, in elementary school, we had the same friends and for some reason we always had the same classes together! (except chorus because Stacie and Kim can't sing, but we got used to it..lol) But when we got to middle school, things were different. Kim and I knew people that Stacie didn't know because she was on another section. But we did keep in contact over the phone and in the cafeteria. We started making friends with people whom Stacie didn't like because she felt left out. (Stacie calls the the popular group).. Anyway, one day this girl named Lauryn (who has ***** loads of money) started passing out invitations to her party. Kim and I got one, but Stacie didn't because Lauryn didn't know her and didn't want to know her. We tried to get Lauryn to invite Stacey but they didn't like eachother. Stacie insisted that we got so of course we went. We had such a great time that people wouldn't stop talking about it. In lunch, Kim and I usually sit with Stacie. But that time, Lauryn and her crew wanted us to sit with them and talk about the party. Naturally, I'm not the type of person who just blows their friends off, so I told Kim that we should ask Stacie first. Kim talked me out of it so of course we left Stacie over there looking all sad and confused. I felt bad, but Kim started becomming 'one of them'. The next day Stacie wouldn't talk to me, and I blamed Kim for being so selfish. I told Kim that we needed to apologize to Stacie, but she was like 'We don't need Stacie, we have Lauryn and her friends..blah, blah, blah... So Kim is like if you want to be anti social then we don't need to hang out.. so Kim and Stacie started ignoring me, and I didn't have anyone to hang out with. Like a month later, Stacie and I made up, but Kim was still in over her head. So we never bothered talking to Kim again. To this day, Stacie and I are best friends, and Kim is still a popular jerk.
