WHAT THE ARTICLE SAYS:
The following "International News" item appeared in the Feb 23-Mar 1 issue of Video Store Magazine, on page 11:
"Imavision Distribution, which distributes French-language DVDs and videocassettes in Quebec, Canada, has partnered with NBC Enterprises for the exclusive English-language video distribution of the TV series 'Little House on the Prairie' in the United States and Canada. Imavision has grossed more than $2 million from its French-language video versions of the series in Quebec, according to the company."
It's interesting that this takes place mere weeks after the previous license-holder, Goodtimes Entertainment (now renamed GT Brands) was aquired by Quadrangle Capital Partners. With 10 releases, this was one of Goodtimes' most prolific series releases.
However, those releases were individual "best-of" DVDs. Hopefully Imavision will bring us quality releases: this is one of our most-requested shows, and 99.5% of the requests are for season sets!
