I was watching Alf's Special Christmas today and at the end there was a dedication to this young lady. It listed the dates 1979 - 1987. Does anyone know who this little girl was?

i just watched this episode today. it was also dedicated to tom kyle 1944-1987. i'd really like to know anything i can about these people.

i possibly have figured out who tiffany leigh smith is through some tricky searching online. there is also a contact email addy for the person that listed the information that i sent an email to.

I think Tom Kyle was a relative of someone who worked on the set.

Tom Kyle was technical director for ALF until his death

I am willing to bet since they used her real name and she featured more heavily in the episode that most of the one shots on ALF and obviously had leukemia at the time of shooting I'm betting she got on thanks to the Make a Wish Foundation

I remember watching The Christmas special when it aired way back in 87. And I was crying at the end of the episode when Tiffany was looking out her hospital window down at ALF.It was a very sad scene. Heck the whole episode was sad. Not just Tiffany,but the man who did not want to live anymore because his wife just passed on.
Yeah I always make sure to watch The Christmas Special every year when Christmas rolls around. And I still feel sad every time I see that ending.

That ALF Christmas ep is so melancholy for me. It made me so sad as a kid when I first saw it. I bet the girl was from Make a Wish, but just thinking that she died so young sadens me.

God & Jesus will be looking after her though & I am glad she at least got to be on ALF.

The kid was played by an actress named Keri Houlihan. She is a veterinarian now.

Was this the special that wasn't filmed in a studio and didn't have a laugh track?
