Dunno know about you, but I loved the first and second apartment sets. Every time there was a home scene, I'd be psyched -- except for the danger of having to deal with seeing Julie!

They were very super '70s, with the first having that wall graphic, the colors, etc. And, I was shocked to see the bathroom, just once (Kotter joke).

That second set was cool, but we never saw the bedroom ...

Question: did we ever see a Sweahog's residence? Mr. Woodman's?

I don't think the Sweathoggs house was ever seen since it was a classroom type of show which is why Mr. Kotter apt shouldn't have been seen hundreds of times.

I agree that the show was a school show, or whatever, but didn't think that the show had to therefore stay only in a classroom, set wise! It's always cool if they expand the visual palette a bit, in step with giving the characters a bit of backstory. Head of the Class this show was not! It was about the adventures of these insane city kids. I loved the references to parents, etc. and would have liked to have seen them once or twice.

I agree that maybe the apartment scenes suffered from just being the Kotter joking area; I guess it was a good idea for the producers to light that set, etc. to film these bits, while getting the school set ready.

I just really support the visuals of the apartment sets, rather than their story purpose.

Don't get me going on the Kotters having babies epiosdes!

I came to the conclusion that WBK is not a show you keep in your collection just something to watch on TV LAND. I hit the stop button everytime I tried to record a episode.

Again, Solomon, you are stating your opinion as fact. Maybe you don't wish to have Kotter episodes in your tv show collection. But alot of us do.

I liked the first apartment, it was really funky... I would have liked to have seen Epstein's other brothers and sisters.

We did get to see one sister. The episode where his sister Carmen joins the class, temporarily.

well you must be talking about episodes from season one.

Nope, I have every episode but one and that one is coming up on Tvland in about two weeks.

There were a few episodes in Horshack's apartment and you got to see his family. I think he was the only one tho.

I remember that one. That's one of my favorite episodes.

I can remember seeing Juan's cousin Angelina, but that was at Vinnie's apartment. That was the episode where Vinnie almost married her but she fell in love with the marimba player because he looked like Freddie Fender.

Oh, I can also remember seeing Freddie's mother, that was at an open house at the school.

Washington's mother was seen in one ep? You sure? We saw two diferent women play Arnold's mother (one woman was Ellen Travolta, John's sister). We only saw Vinnie's home once he lived alone, never when he lived with his parents.

Jean Stapleton from All in the Family should have played Horshack's mother-they act just alike.

Edith Bunker would've made a great mom for Horshack. That would've been one funny episode. But Ellen Travolta did a good job in playing his mom too. :) Maybe Horshack could've been related to Edith Bunker & on a WBK/AITF crossover, he goes over to visit the Bunkers for awhile & brings the Sweathogs along LOL!

I believe there was one episode that featured Barbarino's apartment, if I'm not mistaken.

Guys, I need your help. I have a visual of a sitcom in which the character lived in an apartment and the door had about 6 locks on it. Was that Mr. Kotter's apartment??? I remember there was a big to-do about going through all the locks when someone came to visit or leave. This is driving me crazy trying to remember what show that was. I hope you can help jog my memory.
