yeah so to answer my own question.. We are doin "Oliver!" some people thought it was like the singin dogs! I was like oh good lord help us! :rolleyes: lol but yeah I'm it, I'm an orphan boy :D lol yes, I know IM A GIRL! but all of the orphans are actually being played by girls except for one, and the Dodger. Even Oliver is a girl cuz the songs are so high!

We did one in Third Grade of the Jungle. I was the Sloth :lol:

We had a Charlies Angel play once too. Wasnt a musical, But a play. I Was Charlie :lol:

When I was in high school, we had a play in the fall and a musical in the spring. I was in every play.

I'm not in high school but the high school put on The Fiddler On The Roof. It kicked ace

Our school had them and no I don't remember what they were because I never attended them. I didn't attend any football games or anything else for that matter. When the school day was over, it was over. I was far away from that place as possible.

When I was in elementary school the 5th grade choir would put on a play at the end of the year. Our class did Oliver! but I remember I was sick or something when they gave out the parts so I ended up just helping change the sets in between scenes. We never did anything like that in middle school and I know the High School Drama class put on plays every year but I didn't have any part in it. I wish I would have gotten more involved in school activities. If I could go back I would do things differently.

I'm out of school now, but at my old school, every year the fourth grade class did a Christmas play. I played a bad guy. Actually it was more of an extra. I was a worker for the bad guy trying to get rid of Santa Claus. Then in 8th grade, I played another extra, as a pirate in Pirates of Penzance. During the sword fight, my cheap sword broke. But it was funny. Sadly the woman who put both plays on, died recently.

Yeah we have a musical every year. I'm not in it and don't even know which one we are doing this year. My freshman year we did The Sound of Music.

We have one every year. This year was Pippin. For those of you who know the play, I played the Narrator. I don't think I was ever so scared in my entire life, but it was good. All my nervousness never showed throughout the play, but at the end, during our bows, I crashed into the actor playing Pippin. Yeah, that was slightly embarrasing.

In April my high school is doing the musical "Once Upon a Mattres". I really don't know what it was about.

-I'm in the middle school drama club and we did the play "The Trial of Mother Goose". The play involves everyone's favorite characters lsuch as Old King Cole, Mother Goose, Prince Georgie Porgie, and the kings wife who was only known as Queen. The play is a masterpiece and it involves Mother Goose's journey to try to prove that her nursery rhymes are not insulting, but true facts. She has to prove that they are valid or she will be thrown in the dungeon! Everything is alright because King Cole pardons Mother Goose. When news of this pardon is revealed, everyone in the kingdom is so overjoyed that they all dance to "I feel good". This play is truly a classic and I have no idea why we didn't have to pay diddly squat for the rights, to perform it. Was it that good that it was free so the play could be shown to the whole world?
In the play I played Prince George (aka Georgie Porgie), and I was reviewed by a first grader here is what he wrote about me:

"I liked the small king"

He also drew a picture of me too. It feels so good to be critically acclaimed and to be part of the best play of all time!

Well I havent been in school in along time but When I was yeah it seemed like My Old Highschool did Musicals ALOT I dont remember what they were and No I was never in them

We do musicals in the fall and the plays in the spring. I've been in the last two plays 'Get Bill Shakeaspeare off the Stage' and 'English is a Foreign Language' but I haven't done the musicals cause I can't sing. :p The musical last year was 'Watch Out, Olympus' and this year was 'Boogie Woogie Bugle Girls'.

Our school actually has pretty good musicals, I like to go to them

I did this one senior year. I played The Minstrel.

It's a parody of "The Princess And The Pea." If you know that story, you know the plotline of "Mattress." Not my favorite musical, but it's okay.

When I was in highschool we did one every other year and I was in two of them we did Grease and little shop of horrors. I was a backstage prop person for the Grease musical and I was in the chours for Little shop of Horrors but I always thought it would of been fun to be the voice of the plant.

When I was in High School we did "Treasure Island" and "This Magic Moment" (about the fifties). I worked backstage on both. I perform only in plays with no singing. (I sing, but not while I'm acting...)

I'm now in Junior High School, our school hasn't even done a play, the biggest thing to hit the stage was the choir. If the school did do a play the set would be crap, no lighting, hardly any good costumes, there is nothing already in the school for a play, cos the school's trampy. If we did one, it wouldn't be a musical, cos there's hardly anyone in our school to sing, and hardly anyone to take part. Even a non-musical wouldn't go well, unless they take the angle of our primary school, and force us on stage (which is better, when you're forced, you got more confidence). The school is all boys school (most of the schools are one gendre) and in primary school people are faster to dress as women. In primary school, there was always a Christmas carol short play, a tonne of sketches and people singing songs from pop bands. However, the next school, High School, has Drama, and each year it's slowly improving, it started of as crap supposedly but is coming together nicely, I hope by the Time I get there that They'll do Little Shop of Horrors.

I wasn't in any school musicals but when I was in high school, they did Fiddler on the Roof and MASH.

Let's see... last year we did "The Wizard of Oz". If I tried out I coulda been Dorothy cause I know Miss Collins woulda given me the spot, but no...of course... my shyness held me back. I was stage crew though...I swear. Those 2 nights were some of the happiest in my life (and that's saying something). It was great. Teachers were in the play, we had the little cafe outside of the auditorium, ah......

This year we are doing The Newsies. It's not going to be as fun as last year, I can tell. I'm stage crew again. I love doing it, it's great

we're doing guys and dolls

Last year, we did "You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown"... that was fun. I got a solo and it was SO embarassing, but it was really fun. We're not doing one this year, but the high school is doing "Anything Goes" and my dad's high school is doing "Babes and Arms" or something like that.

i was in a production of that awhile back (not w/ school though, in community theater) I played Sally which was fun but i got teased a lot because i had the blonde wig thing going, lol. It is a fun show.

I hate shyness, because of it I never volunteer, and even when I'm forced to act then, I get the smaller sketch parts. If Little Shop was ever done, I'd want to either be Seymor or Orin Scrivello, but I'd probably never get it, and someone who doesn't want to gets it. Also- person that had High School do MASH, was that not a bit complicated? I want to someday adapt the Musical Shock Treatment in a play, like it's predeccessor Rocky Horror, hopefully adding more lines or a song. I'd love to do something like what was done with original Little Shop, adapt a film to a musical.

YAGMCB is such a cute, fun show. I love the song Lucy sings... "do ya know something, Schroeder? I think the way you play the piAAAAAAAAAAAAAAno...is nice." Cracks me up.

Also, I recently saw Little Shop for my birthday...it was very good. That's a good show. I like "Somewhere That's Green."

I tried out for "Into the Woods" and got a nice part but for other commitments I couldn't be in the play.

Last year my best friend was in Fiddler on the roof and shes at a new school now and shes doing Fiddler on the roof again.

I don't even know what my school is doing.

I would love to be in the muscials-Annie, Bye Bye Birdie & CHICAGO!

that was the first show i was ever in (community theater again..) i played marta! :lol:

My drama teacher took us all to go audition for the Lion King last year... it was like 50 of us, of course, this other girl won the role as Nala.. anyway... In elemantary school, I did 3 called The Other Night(original), Cinderalla, and A Christmas Story(recreated). Last year I did The Urban Nut Cracker state wide, I auditioned for A Raison in the Sun and The Wizard of Oz, but I was too young for that role anyway. Last month I did a musical called "It don't mean a thing"(I played Billie Holiday) it was fun because we got to sing alot of old music of the 20's. My aunt is trying to get me in Broadway in Atlanta, but it's more of a young adult company.
