I'm watching the weird no laugh track intruige FT series where Alex attends Oxford, and spies are following the Keaton family around. Meanwhile Malory falls for a duke. So whats jennifer doin? Being bored I guess.

I never ever saw this before and I find it interesting. It's kinda like when Head Of The Class went to Moscow.

I never got to see it in its entirety, and I thought the spy substory was corny and took away from the appeal that is Family Ties.

What I want to know is why did Nick At Nite air these four episodes twice? They first aired the episodes on Thursday and Friday, and for some reason they re- aired them from Sunday through Tuesday morning. I thought that was a bit odd. Anyway as far as the FT movie itself, I was never a big fan of it. Like realchic1999 said, the story was incredibly corny, and quite silly if you ask me. It was cool to see the show try to do something different, but I think they could have come up with a better idea for a Family Ties movie. I also found it kind of odd how they had Mallory fall in love with that guy, yet after these four episodes you never heard from him again. I said to myself after seeing it that Mallory sure gets over being in love fast considering it was only one episode later that we were introduced to Nick. I don't think the writers really thought that out. I think it would have been cool to see that English guy make an appearance on the show again at some point, and him and Nick could fight for the affection of Mallory, and Mallory would have to choose who she wanted to be with. I think that would have been a great episode!

Not to mention that Nick is a horrible substitue for that young Duke. I think the Duke would have made it more interesting, but it would have turned Family Ties into Falcon Crest. So while i'm not keen on Nick, I understand why Malories relationship with the Duke did not continue.

It was too serious for a FT movie. It turned into something it was not meant to be.
