What qualities do you look for in a romantic partner?

Some things I look for:

Someone who is open-minded. I can't stand being with someone who is racist or homophobic.

Someone who is kind, gentle, patient, caring, and sensitive. I can't stand selfish, arrogant, impatient, mean-spirited people.

Someone with a sense of humor and good personality.

Similar religious values.

Some interests in common.

MUST love dogs. I'm a huge dog addict and I can't be with someone who doesn't like them.

And while I'm not too picky about looks, I prefer someone with good hygeine. I find poor hygeine to be a real turn-off.

Let's see

-Must be a She. I'm 21, so no younger than 18 and no older than 25.

-She can't be a racist or homophobic.

-She has to have a sense of humor. I tend to be funny from time to time, and most people just give me a confused look. She should know I'm joking and just laugh.

-Although it's not a must, I wish she would like at least some of my favorite TV shows. (If she likes "Friends", there may be trouble)

-As for my last statement about "Friends", I mean no offense. It was a joke. Part of my sense of humor.

-She has to be caring and sweet.

-Again, not a must, but she should like my friends and family.

-She doesn't want to go out all the time. I'm fine just at home with my TV set. (I guess I could make the effort to go out for her, though)

-Although this one seems tough, I'd like her to be a virgin. I'll admit, I'm a virgin, so we still exsist.

-Someone who doesn't smoke or drink (beer).

I've never had a girlfriend before. Are any of these listings the reason why?

My List:
-Must be between the ages of 17-35. Id prefer them to be between 25-29, but beggers cant be choosers!
-Non-Smoker. Id learn to deal with it, but he'd be smoking on his own time.
-Loves animals. I dont like people who get their kicks with roadkill. Have a heart!
-Redheads. My little obsession is red hair. Love it.
-Cant be less immature than me! I like guys who joke around.. not a dumbass. I cant stand stupid frat boys chugging away. I see nothing appealing about it. I dont date losers.
-Must have $$ of their own. Im not The Bank of America, buddy!
-Dont get sappy on me. You write me a poem, odds are Im gonna laugh at it. Thats just the way I am. If you wanna buy me something, skip the flowers (seriously, you spend so much $$ on them just so they can die a few days later!), instead, get me a stuffed animal.
-Open-minded. We need to see eye to eye.

Doesn't smoke drink or take drugs

Doesn't Swear like Crazy. I Dont mind them swearing, But not alot. I Dont swear at all.

Must be alive and Human :lol:

Someone with similar Interests to me (Happy Days, Tom Jones, Etc)...Although thats very hard to find these days

Must clean up after me, Call me sir, Get me my slippers or a glass of soda on demand. Works part time, and supports me so i can Sleep til 4 PM and watch TV.

I'm 23, so anywhere from 18-45. Yeah, 45. At this point age is the least of my worries.

I prefer a guy who's motivated. I'm not, so at least one of us should be.

Likes kids a lot.

Sweet, kind, romantic, no weird fetishes, nice dresser.

Non-smoker, non-drug user, nothing past a social drinker. If you like to get drunk, look elsewhere!

Eh, I've never had a boyfriend either.

I decided when I turn 25 and Im still single, Im lowering my standards. Im picky now, because, well.. I dont date just any ol' guy, but after a while Im gonna become desperate!! LOl. I dont want any scuz touching me now.

I've never had A Girlfriend either..Or been on a date....I Cant even talk to a girl without getting extremely nervous and leaving, or staying and acting stupid because i dont now what else to do.

Change that from a boyfriend to girlfriend and that's my story. Every girl I've liked has either just not liked me, thought I was weird, or had a boyfriend. The boyfriend was usually a jerk that picked on me. So that always made me mad. I work as a bagger at a Kroger store, and I see many beautiful women come and go, most of them have boyfriends or husbands. It's come to the point now where I just expect something to go wrong. All my co-workers think I'd make a great boyfriend, but since I'm shy, I have a hard time meeting girls.

Okay, I think I got off to the story of my life. I didn't mean to, but anyways.

(ok, i think i got my list almost complete)

Boy we must think alot alike becuase most of what you posted is what I'm looking for in a guy. And I don't have a boyfriend yet but someday I hope to.

He's gotta understand that I'm not the most religious person in the world. I believe in God, but no, I don't go to church and I really don't want to. I'm a good girl. And sorry, but I will not conform to your religion just because your mama won't let us get married unless I'm Catholic or something else. No offense, but that's me.

Intelligence. I can not stress this one enough. This is always the #1 thing I look for in a guy. Because, you know, after the sex you're supposed to talk to them. :p

Political Awareness. I like a guy to know what's going on in the world and that requires some political knowledge. He doesn't have to agree with my views (conservative Republican) but he has to have a reason WHY he doesn't if that is the case.

Class. Simple enough. Not to be confused with money, because having money doesn't give you class, nor does being poor automatically make you classless.

Music Appreciation. Especially towards classic rock. I listen to a lot of rock and go to a lot of concerts. It's nice if they have that common interest, too. Heh, probably the reason why 4 out of 5 of my serious relationships have been with musicians. :o
