What were your thoughts after seeing the first couple of episodes?

Did you think it would make it?

Did you ever feel that the Bunkers would appear in a Jeffersons episode?

What were your thoghts when you saw the second Lionel for the first time?

What there any talk about Mike Evans leaving the Jeffersons during the summer of 1975?

Hi Solomon!!! I was just 3 1/2 years old when the Jeffersons first aired so the first time I saw the Jeffersons when they were on Sunday nights in the late 1970's thru the early 80's,and of course the reruns later on on our local station in San Antonio.

To answer your questions about the Jeffersons:

1. From the first two episodes,I knew that it was a hit from the get go.

2. YES!!!

3. Archie and Edith should have made guest appearences on the Jeffersons. Those exchanges with George and Archie would have been hilarious to see.

4. I wished that they kept the original Lionel. The Damon Evans Lionel was too dramatic and stiff. Sure,he had a couple of moments(The Term Paper Episode and where he gets drunk before college graduation),but it wasn't the same. I wished that Mike's Lionel would have married Jenny instead of Damon's Lionel.

5. Probably.

Thanks for answering my question but i'm really trying to get a response from someone who was a adult in 75 and was a Jeffersons fan.

What there any talk about Mike Evans leaving the Jeffersons during the summer of 1975? Answers....

1) I thought it was a hit show. I loved the concept.

2) I knew it would make it.

3) I never thought the Bunkers would come on the show. The Bunkers were too popular back then to appear.

4) I could not believe that they bought in that ugly dude to take the place of handsome Lionel Jefferson. It turned me off but, I did continue to watch the show.

5) I never heard that at all.

I knw it had to be a shock to see a different person playing lionel jefferson. Also was there a one time closing credits of the jeffersons with Louise and George in the cab? Or is that false? Someone mentioned that after the first episode if the jeffersons,, louise and george were in the closing credits that one time.
