Dayton man killed in Houston hit-and-run

A Liberty County man was killed early today by a hit-and-run driver in northeast Houston, police said.
The driver who hit Leroy Dejohn, 47, of Dayton, drove away, and police had no description of the vehicle later today.
Dejohn's body was found just before 4 a.m. on the side of the road in the 11200 block of Beaumont Highway near Oates Road by a passing motorist who called police. Dejohn was dead at the scene.
Police believe the hit-and-run vehicle was westbound when it struck the victim, who was standing on the highway's shoulder. Tire marks were found at the point of impact.
My mom knew this man...She works at a convenient store and he used to come in all the time and buy stuf and some A$$hole had to kill him...My mom was a good friend of his. She's so upset right now. :crying:
