Yesterday when I was geting my hair and nails done the person that did them said that she read in a I Love Lucy book that Ethel and Fred hated each other!

It is very true that Fred and Ethel(Bill&Viv)
hated each other! Every book I have read on or about the show and actors have mentioned
their real relationship. I even remember once
I read that Viv would check the script out
before rehearsals to make sure she didn't have to "crawl in bed with the old coot". I
found that really funny thinking that she had
nothing to worry about considering even Lucy
and Ricky slept in separate beds most of the time! I always thought that was rediculous.
Anyone who has a husband that looks like Ricky would not sleep in separate beds! LOL!!
On Bill and Viv's relationship,I think it just shows that they are wonderful actors!
I'm not sure I could hide my true feelings for someone. In the late years,when Lucy and
Desi were having marital problems,to me they
still showed alot of love for one another and
I think that was so beautiful.

Lucille Ball didn't really want to hire Vivian Vance -- but Desli Arnaz did. Lucille Ball was very jeolous of Vivian Vance. And Lucille Ball is older than Vivian Vance.

And, William Frawley was 40 something years older than Vivian Vance.

Vivian Vance was born in 1909, and Lucy was not born until 1911. So Lucille is younger than Vivian. I got this information form The Other Side of Ethel Mertz.
