well, i'm gonna ask this guy, JOnathan, if he'll go to prom w/ me today... it's my senior prom, he's 19 and in college.. i'm a senior in highschool, so yea, if i wanna go to prom this is my last chance.. so i'm gonna ask him today. Idon't know how to ask him w/ out looking like a complete dumb ass, lol... any suggestions?

Well, I don't know if this is really a suggestion or not, but for my senior prom, I asked a guy. He was a senior too, but he went to another school. I just called him and was like "Hey, I was thinkin, do you want to go to my prom with me?" And he was like "Yeah". He had actually wanted to ask me to go to his prom with him, but he was kinda shy. Well, anyway, we ended up going to mine and his! It was fun. So, just ask him, you wont look stupid.:D

I don't really have any advice except - be yourself and don't be nervous. :) I know that's really cliched, but supposedly it works.

I didn't even go to my senior prom. Definitely ask him if you want to take him--never pass up the chance to do something that you want to do, because you might not get that chance back. The worst people can ever say is "no". Good luck!

Good luck, Amanda! My only advice would just to say, "Hey....are you doing anything on *fill in the date*?" and then ask if he'd like to. lol...That didnt help, but its the only thing I could think of!

No, I think that's a great way to ask him. It's casual, yet it lets him know that you're interested in doing something with him. Good luck.

Don't worry about it. Guys love to be asked. No one in their right mind would turn down any excuse to wear a tux.

It would take, oh I don't know, about a nanosecond to get someone to take you to your prom.
Just ask him. We want to see prom pictures afterwards. :)

Ugh... the prom. Not a night I want to remember...

I asked a kid (he was a junior) if he'd go while he was @ work. It was the first time I ever asked a guy out, so yah it wasnt easy. He said no, but then after I like completly went against what I was gonna do and like, practically begged him. OMG.. when I think about it I get sick. Amanda will never let me live it down!! In a way, Im glad he didnt go- way too many things went wrong for me that nite.

Anyways, Amanda.. just go for it! I totally psyched myself up for it and I did it. Just remember- the worst thing he can say is no, and if he does, then well- he aint worth it!

I was gonna ask him last night.. and well.. chickend out, lol. But tonight I HAVE to ask him, cause I mean, i gotta give the boy some notice just like I needed some notice. But you see, i'm sure he'll say yes, because he went w/ me to pick out my prom dress, and he told me I looked "beautiful" in it, or some crap like that.. so I mean, why would he go pick out the dress if he didn't wanna go to the prom? Anywayz, i'm asking him tonight... i'll let ya know how it goes!
