Guys,

I always wanted to know what happens if you have a tie on Lingo going into the bonus round and the other night they did! In a tie, the two teams try to guess a 7-LETTER word whose first two letters appear and a NEW letter appears every 5 seconds. The first player to buzz in correctly and say the word gets to go to the bonus round. If you guess incorrectly you are "locked out" giving the other team a chance to guess the word. if both teams guess incorrectly the team that was locked out gets "locked in" again and a chance to guess the word. I thought it was cool because it's the first time that I have seen a tie situation.

Thanks for sharing! I love Lingo (the only GSN original I'll watch) and have also wondered what happens when there is a tie. I missed the episode where it actually happened though. They rerun a lot, so I'll probably catch it soon.

One time in the tiebreaker on LINGO, the puzzle was CU---NT. That was too hilarious. I figured the whole word is CURRENT.

yankeedog, you're more like a corndog. You remind me of some of those peeps over at jumptheshark with your wack comment. You outta post it over at that site--if Lingo even is on jumptheshark.

OK, I'll prove it to you Cashodeen. This is what I was talking about not too long ago. See the picture below.

Hey everyone! I saw that episode yesterday. Didn't the black guy on the other team look like the dad from "Kenan and Kel" a bit?

CORNDOG!!! Quit playin me. Lingo only has 5 lettered words. That's why I called you a corndog from the beginning. CURRENT is impossible. Nice trick though.

Cashodeen, whenever there is a tie that needs to be broken on Lingo, they do, in fact, use SEVEN-letter words....

I've seen said tie ep in question, and I can verify, 100% FOR CERTAIN, in case of tie, they use a 7-letter word.

OHH! Thanks guys! See, I still have not seen a tie on lingo. But in all honestly, was the word "Current" on there? (I had thought that pic of yankeedog's was a fake.) If it was current, I guess yankeedog isn't a corndog after all...

Gosh, I'm a fool anyway for my second to last post. It had been so long since Jack1000's post, that I forgot he said they use a 7 letter word.

I didn't realize until a second ago that yankeedog dug up an old post...
