Back in the 80s, I'm guessing, there was a very short-lived comedy about a guy who worked in a convenience store. It was hilarious - all I can remember is laughing so hard it hurt. I always imagine the guy being Fred Stoller, but research has proven otherwise. He seemed very much like Fred Stoller, however. If anyone remembers this show or has any clues about it, please email me at carissapav@aol.com. Great site, thanks!!!!!

You might be thinking of "Open All Night" which ran from 1981-1982. It starred George Dznunda as Gordon, a harried convenience store manager.
There was Gordon's wacky stepson Terry who does look a bit like Fred Stoller. I believe he had the same deadpan style and monotone voice of Freed to boot.

Hope this helps. Welcome to Sitcoms Online!

I absolutely cannot believe how quickly you were able to help me! That is it! As soon as I saw the title I remembered it. It has a great little write up on IMDB, I see now that you reminded me of the title!

I wish someone had this show on tape - it's such a shame that something can leave such an impression, but you never get to see it again!!

Thanks for a great site!

Actually, someone posted the same question several months back, and I gave them the same answer.

Nevertheless, it was my pleasure to help. I love trying to come up with names to obscure sitcoms.
