Is Toon Disney starting to go downhill?
BY BRETT FERINO

OK. I posted one of these things that I will say in this column after a phrase of wisdom. I really have stopped watching most of the shows on Toon Disney Channel since they dropped good ones. One of the good ones has to be "The Littles", which was last seen on early Sudnay and early Monday mornings. They had also aired "Wizard of Oz", "Wish Kid", "New Archies".

I requsted for Nickelodeon to air "The Littles" since TD's contract probably expired since they aired it when they launched TD in April 1998. Same thing for the ones in the late night weekend slot above. And plus many people liked "The Littles" and the early evening time slot would be good for it. And I sent this letter back in December or January and I requested it to air on Monday, March 31, 2003 which is when schedules for the Viacom networks change.

TD has cut down on most of the DiC owned shows like "Bump in the Night", "Sonic the Hedgehog", "New Archies", "Wish Kid", "Wild West Cow Boys of Moo Mesa" and others.

TD is/has also been adding some new and short-lived crap shows such as "Sabrina: The Animated Series", "The Proud Family", "Teamo Supremo", "Doug", "Pepper Ann", etc.

And why did they even drop "Wuzzles", "Gummi Bears" and all them DiC shows? And TOON Disney might be "Built From the Best Toons"?

Who knows? Do you? I don't?

I think just about all of Disney is going downhill. Come on, a company that releases films called "Cinderella II: Dreams Come True" and "Lady and the Tramp II: Scamp's Adventure" has got to be headed for disaster.

Disney Channel used to be cool - I remember when they used to show real movies on it, the original "Parent Trap," "Pollyanna,"
"Mary Poppins," "Apple Dumpling Gang," etc. Now all they do is put on junk like "My Date With the President's Daughter." Yikes. I also remember they had some pretty cute shows. I remember "The Wizard of Oz" "Adventures in Wonderland" and my all-time favorite "Dumbo's Circus!" Yeah, well, I blame Michael Eisner.

Over the summer I stayed up late to watch the Sunday lineup of "What-A-Mess","Wizard of Oz","The Super Dave Show","New Archies" and "Wish Kid".It's a shame that these shows aren't on there anymore :(
