"Into that Good Night"

What could it mean? Here is my theory:

There is a famous villanelle poem by Dylan Thomas entitled: "Do Not Go Gentle into That Good Night." Basically the poem means this:
A man is asking his father not to die. He wants his father forever even if he has to fight. Good men, wild men, grave men, and blind men fight so why doesn't he? He doesn't want his father to give into death.

Roseanne connection:
Maybe this title is talking about losing the father of the family, Dan. Roseanne is the one who has to fight to cope with his death. I wonder if this is where they got the title. If so, people who know of the poem would practically know the ending, where we find out that Dan actually died during his heart attack.

Also the "poem" might be a parallel to Roseanne's writing a novel. She is writing a "work" basically talking about the "father" of the family. The poem talked about the same thing. Maybe someone could have predicted the ending just from the title. If I knew of the poem beforehand, I may have figured it out, well atleast the Dan part anyway.
