I find it kind of strange that Lionel, the Jefferson character seen the most on All in The Family from 71-75, was not in the opening credits with George and Louise. Lionel was their son and he left Queens also to move to manhattan so why was he left out? Could this have a little to do with his exit from the show? I think it does since Sherman Hemsley only played George Jefferson from 73-75 while Mike Evans was on AITF from 71-75 and was featured in the opening credits and Not Mike Evans. Any Thoughts?

I just think he should have been seen in the opening credits since his charcter existed longer than Sherman Hemsley's
character.

Solomon, Mike Evans was listed in the opening credits during the 1st season. He was listed third behind Isabel and Sherman.

I presume you mean that he didn't ride in the limo with his parents. Maybe he wanted his parents to have that moment alone and he rode in another car or were watching their belongings on the truck.

Maybe he had his mother's red coat in the other car!

I just think he should have been seen in some way in the opening credits instead of just his name.
