The way you guys talk about each of the characters gave me an idea for commercials for each of them like food or something.

Already decided beforehand, "Frosted Mary-Ann...she's surreally delicious" So we have Mary-Ann the cereal. "A part of a well balanced lifestyle, just one healthy serving of sweet Mary-Ann gets you going for the whole day through."

Ginger? "The new artifical sweetener, Ginger! All the sweetness you love with a bit of a bite to remind you it's fake. Unlike Nutrasweet, Ginger's very popular with the men and not so famous with the ladies."

The Professor. "New in stores this Christmas, Professor Teddy Bears! This rarity (tuxedo optional) is gentlemanly enough for even the pickiest woman, and never offends. Take one home to mother, she'll be tickled pink! Comes complete with little books for it to read."

Skipper. "Just in time for Thanksgiving, it's the Skipper Turkey. Already pre-stuffed, it tastes a bit tough and bullish, but brings something special to the table. Don't mind the funny taste, you'll get used to it."

Gilligan. "The new and improved upside-down Gilligan screwdriver, for all your screwing up needs! No more hassles of screwing things up yourself, leave it to the self-working Gilligan to screw it up FOR you! No job too big or too small that it can't be screwed up properly!"

Mr. & Mrs. Howell: "For the upper crust breeder and dog lover...the Howell Greyhounds. Too expensive for you to afford, they often do things you train them not to just because it tickles them from the inside out. If adopted, you must realize these Howells absolutely have to take everything they own with them at all times, including a teddy bear the male has grown attached to."

I figured that's the closest to what everyone seems to think about them...heh. Your thoughts? Maybe you can come up with something too, eh?

During the era of "Gilligan's Island", and even into the 1970's, it was very common for characters of a TV sitcom to paricipate in commercials

You missed the WHOLE joke. I'm sorry for you. I think it's funnier my way.

Without laughter, your insides start to eat away at you slowly until you explode. Laugh or die? I choose to laugh.

That is adorable! It matches my sentiments exactly. Maybe the Howells as dogs is a little much. For some reason I see Mr Howell as toothpaste and Mrs. Howell as perfume. Just a thought.

I was trying to think of something snobbish, but cute...and obviously a little rich/greedy but still with class. They were HARD!

trying your Mrs. Howell... "Lady Howell, the new fragrance in the house of Howell...a scent that exudes wealth and power with a hint of charm. One bit of this and you will be beating the millionaires and heirs off with sticks and coconuts."

I don't get a feeling for the toothpaste Howell, myself, but maybe someone else can. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

That was funny and could see all of them be one of those things.I think Mrs. Howell as a perfume seems right.I never pictured Mr. Howell Toothpaste though.

For all of your upper-crust parties, never let a day go by where you aren't using Howell's toothpaste. It's a horrendously overpriced brand, very popular at Harvard. Only the elite of the elite use this teeth-shiner because it keeps your teeth sparkling with dollar signs. http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/biggrin.gif It'll make you the pride of every social occasion, never be without it. Your friends will be following you everywhere http://www.sitcomsonline.com/ubb/outtahere.gif just to catch a glimpse of you're million dollar smile.

Not bad. LOL, I still don't think he's really a toothpaste, but now I see where you get the idea.
