Okay why did Michael landon decide for the Ingalls to move and base the show on Laura's adulthood? Don't you think that kind of made the show jump the shark?

It kind of definitely made the show jumptheshark! Although, I can watch some of the episodes in season 9, they are all basically desposible. Why they decided to continue on with the show, I'll never know. I guess they thought it could survive after several of the main characters left and there became a new focus. I believe the actors that remained were gung-ho for another season, so on it went. I do know Michael Landon and Karen Grassle no longer wanted to continue doing it so off they went. If anyone here knows some more info on all this, I'd love to know myself. From what I remember, the two actors were simply tired of it and felt it was time to leave.

And what the heck was wrong with Laura when she became an adult? Focusing on her life in season 9 was also a sharkjumper because years earlier, when she became a wife and a teacher, she became an old poop.
