Not really to start anything, but aren't you the person giving VintageTV Shows a hard time about selling tapes???
I think everyone does it, there is no harm in askign for a bit of compensation for tapes. $25 for 4 episodes is a heckuva lot better than $150 for ALF.

Okay, I'm not trying to start anything either here... I don't know about everyone else but I wouldn't even consider paying $25 for only four episodes. I'm really stingy. I probably wouldn't even pay what Third Watch is asking for with his tapes. I agree too that you should get compensation for your time and money. I just would rather do trades. No money whatsoever exchanged.

Agreed: SP IS better quality than SLP... much better! I was watching a tape today in SP, and it was perfect... no flaws! I couldn't even tell it was a tape! It's as good as Beta II... but SLP... some are better than others, but you can tell it was taped off TV.... Beta III is that way, too, just not as bad.

I'm sorry but this Mr. Vintage dude cracks me up. I guess he just doesn't get it. He talks about "fair Compensation" Well I just don't think charging $50 bucks for a few FOL eps is all that fair. I could see if this guy was the actual camera man for FOL back in the 80's and these were his direct copies or something but come on. That's not the case here, these eps were taped off tv just like most of us do daily but I guess he thinks because they were taped back in the 80's with a couple of original maxi pad commercials that he can try to get $50 bucks. And by the way you keep saying these eps are so rare, well news flash Mr. Vintage they really aren't that rare. I love Sitcomonline and most of the people I've traded with are really awesome, They believe as I do and that's to share this wonderful hobby (not business) with others without ripping them. Remember we don't own these eps so help eachother out and share the hobby with others. If you want to cash in on somebodies misfortune of not having your "very rare shows" then do your business on Ebay, that's what it's for. Lets keep this site for the hobbiest.
