I've noticed that there have been some old posts concerning Unsolved Mysteries on DVD. I think that would be a great idea! I don't know if Buena Vista (or whoever owns UM) would actually do it, but us fans would appreciate it greatly.

Doing some research, thanks to TJ's UM site, I have found that there were roughly 46 episodes in just the first season! However, there are 19 repeats in the first season and that includes episodes where there are only 1 or 2 cases that are special. That would equal 27 episodes in all!

Unfortuatly, that still would be a lot of discs for a TV presentation. There would be 6 discs of the first 24 episodes and another of the last three plus the cases that were missed (I don't think you would need a bonus disc as the cases and Robert Stack speak for themselves!). That would take up 7 entire discs! But, I think UM has it's own cult following, so maybe it will be a good seller and continue to release each season. If Twin Peaks and The Prisoner can be released on DVD, then why can't UM? It would also be a great way to solve further mysteries! All they need to do is add that "If you have any information on these cases presented, please write to..." and maybe the DVD's will help solve a mystery. However, for updates, I think that they should not be presented, but instead before Robert Stack says "If you have any information..." a screen will come up saying basic information about the solving of the case and that the full update will be on future boxes. That of course, does not apply to updates solved within the first season. (OK, I know that that is probably a bad idea, but I don't want repetiveness!)

As for the first 7 specials, I really don't know or care, as I have never seen them before, but they would be nice to have sometime, but I'd rather have the regular series before it. That applies to the UM movies too.

Well, I certainly hope for the best and that this awesome show gets released on the little discs for our viewing pleasure.

it would be hard to put some stuff on there because it might get updated after its release

but the legends, myths, aliens etc. would be worth buying
