I was just wondering what everyone looks for in a boyfriend or girlfriend?

This is what I look for:
I don't care about looks to much just so he isn't really ugly, but that doesn't matter to me as much
He must have a nice personality.
We must have a few of the same intrests perferably fishing becuase I do that alot.
I want a guy who is funny and who likes kids or atleast gets along with kids
he should be a christian or atlest believe in god.
Someone who is a good listener, talkative, likes to go out and have fun, and someone who doesn't smoke or drink. Well he can drink just so he doesn't go out and get drunk all the time.

Well...he has to be decent looking to the point where I don't want to throw up when I look at him.
He should be understanding, nice, and respectful of my feelings and interests.
We should share a couple of interests.
I don't care about religion or belief in God.
He should be genuine.
He can't smoke anything or do any drugs. I don't care about drinking so much, as long as it's in moderation.

Good looks (I'm superficial, of course I want a good looking guy).
Confidence (I love the class clowns)
Intelligence (that's a given)
Common Sense (since I have none)
Respect for everyone and everything else
Well Read (I don't want a guy who says Dr. Seuss is his favorite author)
Kind (to my family and friends)

at least normal looking (no heavy pimple problem...thats gross)...wow im superficial and if you people wont admit you want a normal lookin guy I will

nice to my friends and family

good personality

interested in some sports (playing them for a hs team is a bonus)

smart

funny

cant smoke cigerettes...(drinking im cool wit)

You have just described my husband! I guess we think alike!;)

-good personality (not so boring that im going crazy finding something to talk about or know everything about him after one date...)
-decent looking
-Christian (i dont worry too much about this as far as casual dating, but serious relationship...yeah.)
-able to take a joke (sense of humor is good, but if he understands my half-sane sense of humor, thats better)
-intelligent
-wont cater to me too much or just blindly agree (this has been my biggest problem in the past- i want someone whos not afraid to disagree)
-some similar interests (GWTW is good...lol...but not the easiest to find, theater, history, writing, old movies in general, preferably likes cats and likes sheep- but again thats not easy to find)
-able to listen
-can get along with my friends
-not downright rude (which is harder to find that you'd think)
-can stand to be around me longer than 5 minutes ;)

I've come to realise that I'm quite a superficial person. I have a list a mile long of physical specifications that any girlfriend of mine must match! Of course, personality is important too but, you know, if I don't find her attractive physically then what's the point?

* She must be a brunette
* her hair should be short (but not really short)
* her eyes should preferably be brown
* she shouldn't be any heavier than 115lbs
* she should be quite feminine - but not too girly
* she should have pale skin
* she shouldn't wear too much make up
* she shouldn't dress too prevocatively
* very few tattoos
* not too many piercings - ears and lip piercings are OK
* I'd rather she weren't any more than 3 years older than me (or 4 years younger cos I don't wanna go to jail!)

also.....

* she should have some sense of humour but I don't want her to be funnier than me cos I don't like being upstaged
* she should be able to form her own opinions and not just go along with what everyone else thinks
* she should be at least as intelligent as me - I don't want any dumbasses
* I don't mind if she smokes or drinks in moderation but if she takes drugs then I'm kicking her to the kerb!
* If she wants to go to clubs and stuff then that's cool but I'd like a woman who doesn't mind spending a quiet night infront of the TV every now and then
* she should be a good listener
* she'd have to be patient cos I can be difficult to get along with sometimes
* she'd have to be monogamous - I don't want anyone who's gonna be shagging around on me
* she'd have to be gay - I'm not messing with any bisexual women cos they're trouble
* she shouldn't be lazy and she should have her own job
* I don't want her to swear - it's not an attractive thing for anyone to do

*i want a girl who is tall not a giant farmers daughter but about 5ft6 or so

*dark hair

*intelligent ( i don't want someone who can't carry on an intelligent conversation or well any conversation)

*nice to people(but not so nice she lets people walk all over her)

*and she can't smoke, drink, or do any drugs

I don't really know...I just want a guy that I like & he likes me. I guess I'm picky b/c I don't like any of the guys at my school. I'd like to have a guy that his number one priority isn't hunting or cars. You can only talk about those subjects for so long. I'd like him to be good-looking but I can't stand guys who say corny **** to me! It doesn't matter how cute he is if he says something to me like he tells me I'm an angel or something, that makes me just want to laugh in his face or it makes me sick. I was going out w/ this guy a couple of months ago & we were driving around in the woods looking for deer (whoopee) & he said, "I see a deer!" so I was joking around & I said, "I see bigfoot!" & he turned & looked at me w/ this funny look on his face & said, "I see an angel." He was so serious about it & I didn't mean to be rude but I laughed right in his face! He was cute but I couldn't stand the corny things he said. I think I piss guys off alot by some of the things I say. I don't understand why guys flirt the way they do. I mean even when they're 16 or 17 years old & they like you, they still say dumb stuff or they'll hit you. I think this one guy liked me, but he acted like a little boy all of the time & it just upset me so I kind of told him off & now he doesn't even talk to me. Oh well, I'm just a mess anyway & I don't know what I want! lol

I used to care about looks, but not so much anymore. I can find something beautiful in a lot of people. I mean, I don't want Quasimodo, but whatever...

He must be absolutely gorgeous. Beauty is a relative term. It has to come from within. I can't describe what a beauty is, but I can recognize it when I see it. I'm very hung up on looks. I'll admit that up front. But, personality is much more important. I do not want a trophy boyfriend.

It'll help if he wears a leather jacket, drives a motorcycle, and says "AAYYY!" and "Woah!" a lot. ;) But, that's not absolutely necessary.


And it is of utmost importance that he not be married, engaged, or have a girlfriend. I don't make exceptions.

Must be atleast 19 years old or older. I prefer 23-28, but I suppose a 19 yr. old would do. I would date someone younger -but I dont go under 16. Meangya, Im not a babysitter. And I dont wanna be talking to them on the phone then the have to get off b/c it a school nite.:rolleyes:

SOLOMON, if you're not married by now or never were married, with your attitude you probably never will be. Unless, you have a girlfriend who doesn't mind only being liked for her looks. And, if you're looking for an intelligent woman who looks good if your girlfriend (if you have one) knew what things you said on this message board, she would probably be intelligent enough not to date you.
