Hanks dad is TOTALLY the most annoying character on King of the Hill. Any time I see an episode is about him it makes me want to change the channel.

I think Cotton is MEANT to be like that. That's his point. That's his raison d'etre.

The character I enjoy watching least is Nancy Gribble. SOOOOO DULL

Dullest character I think is Joseph. I liked him a lot in the first four seasons, when he was Bobby's best friend and sort of the opposite of Bobby (athletic, slim, poised). But since he went through his "growth spurt," he looks like a 20 year-old posing as a middle-school student, and he hardly ever says or does anything interesting. And with all due respect to Breckin Meyer, he doesn't voice Joseph as memorably as Brittany Murphy did. (Isn't it weird, though, that they switched Joseph from Murphy, who played Tai in Clueless, to Meyer, who played Tai's boyfriend?)

I never find Peggy annoying because I think that her huge ego and the fact that she is so full of herself and she thinks she is the greatest person in the world, make her really funny. PEGGY BUGS THE HELL OUT OF ME! she is so selfish and full of herself. Like in the one where she accidently kidnaps Lupe. She can't admit she can't speak spanish. In the episode where Hank teaches shop, "did you hear that, Hank? I landed on my feet" I'll stop now because i could go on FOREVER on how much she bugs me. The show couldn't do without her, but i just hate her ego.

Dale should have been killed yrs ago. A man so stupid he cant see his own son isnt his that Nancy had an affair with John Redcorn for 14 yrs and even almost caught them in the act and still didnt catch on.

I tell you one I have grown to despise is Hanks Boss Buck Strickland.

The man is a liar gambler cheats on his wife. Does all kind of crooked business practices that Hank catches hell for and has to fix.

He treats Hank like crap wont let him be the Strickland Propane manager like he should be Buck Strickland is an all around BUTTHOLE

King of the Hill is one of the few shows where it has a way of making the characters both likeable and revolting.

My biggest contenders are:

Peggy: Is it any wonder why so many people hate this show? This particular harpy uses Bobby and Luanne as self-gaining pawns, she betrays her own husband, and just generally bugs everyone when she has nothing better to do. She's also the world's biggest hypocrite; apparently, it's okay for Peggy to flirt with some dude from Mexico, but she gets jumpy at the hint of Hank consorting with other women. :-/

Bobby: There are some times where I can feel sorry for him when Hank and Peggy choose to baby him, but there are other times where this kid is totally brain-dead. The stuff about him being fat and gay got old a long time ago.

Anthony Page: The social services guy who tried to steal Bobby from Hank in the pilot episode. He was really hassling Hank in the drug junkie episode. One guy who should've been shoved off a cliff years ago.

Dale: The worst of them all. This douche should've been killed a million times before, especially with all the treacherous crap he does to his own friends. And somehow, he has blamed Hank and even his own father for cheating on Nancy EXCEPT the only one who actually did; John Redcorn, a story arc which also soured some time ago. It makes me wonder how Hank is able to tolerate such a demented ******.

A few minor nitpicks are:

Hank: I'm usually able to sympathize with this guy, but sometimes, his narrow-minded attitude can be his own worst enemy.

Cotton: Largely responsible for Hank's emotional handicap, but he has softened up a bit recently.

Kahn: Somewhat racist. Ironically, if someone dared to make fun of his Laotian background, he'd sue the pants off of them.

Bill: His laziness and neediness would scare me away from Day One. And why would he have a crush on some super-bitch like Peggy?

The only regular characters on the show who AREN'T annoying are Luanne, Minh, Boomhauer, Connie, and Joseph.

Im teddybare and I started this post but you need to chill on some of your criticism of the show. Granted I cant stand Cotton,Buck Strickland & His Ex Wife Miss Liz, Peggy, Kahn and Dale but all are funny in certain episodes. Just dont take the show so seriously or if it bothers you that much stop watching KOTH.

For me it's Peggy.There are times when Hank can be very narrow-minded, but at least he has purpose.Peggy thinks she's all that and tries to run certain people.I would honestly like an episode where she and Hank split up.

I have to say Peggy Hill is the worst character on the show for me...I really dislike her character a lot. Her ego is the worst thing ever, plus my least favorite episode is that Thanks Giving episode where Peggy get's jeylous over Bobby Hill I mean what the heck is wrong with her?! She's getting jeylous over her own son. If I recall correctly she wanted Hank and Bobby to spend more time with each other, now finally they find something they have in common and she get's jeylous over that...I'm just disliking her right now big time. I wish they'd get rid of her some how blah too much anger at Peggy Hill.

Hank - The purpose-driven one, usually easy to sympathize with, but his narrow-minded uretha prodblems can also be his downfall. Score: 4

Peggy - UGH! Bitchy, overly self-righteous, and a damn total control freak! Why is it ok for her to flirt w/ some dude from Mexico and for her to get all jealous when she's Hank around another woman? She even stabs her own family in the back! Score: 0.5

Bobby - Brain-dead at some points, but sometimes you gotta feel sorry for him. Score: 1 to 2

LuAnn - The truely sane member of the family. BTW, I listed her as one of my top sexiest cartoon characters of all-time. Score: A BIG 5 !!!

Bill - I don't know who's stupider: Bill or Dale? Fat, bald, and lazy sometimes. Often the victim of bad circumstances. Score: 2 to a 3

Dale - THE EQUIVALENT OF HOMER SIMPSON AND PETER GRIFFIN! A total ****** and only funny in healthy doses. Someone kill this guy, before I laugh my head off too much! I also grill him, b/c of the way he actually had the galls to blame Hank and especially his father, Buck for having an affair w/ Nancy, when he doesn't even realize that it was John Redcorn and boy look at how old that got. Score: 0.5 to 1

Boomhauer - The only dude on this show who's innocent. Cool car, not to mention that his personality was able to get him so many chicks. Score: 5

Kahn - The third funniest person on this show, but his habit of suing the pants off of anyone making fun of his Laotian b/g, can grind me at times. Score: 4

Mihn - Also ranks up there for innocent charcters. Not much coming from her, though, but still nice person. Score: 4.5

Connie - Thank God she ditched Bobby when she did. Score: 4.5

Joseph - Nowhere nearly as totally crazy as Dale. Score: 4 to 4.5

Well I dont like Dale myself at times but sometimes some of the things he says and does are hilarious.
