Wanna know what really ticks me off? I Was watching Sesame Street today with my Sistser, and Elmo was the freakin star! They may as well call it the Elmo Show! Back when i was a little kid Big Bird was the Man, And you didnt mess with the man. Elmo was just an Insugnificent Character in the background, But now hes "Mr. Sesame Street" Freakin Elmo, I Dont like Elmo. Elmo ruined Sesame Street. SCREW YOU ELMO!

I agree with you Big Bird was my favorite, Elmo can really get annoying at times. I also really liked Grover and Cookie Monster too.

LOL... I was watching Sesame Street this morning (and no, I don't have a younger brother or sister... I was watching it by myself), and I noticed the same thing. At least 20 minutes of the show was dedicated to Elmo and his "Elmo's World." I couldn't believe it. And all he did was talk about fish... then he sang about fish to the tune of Jingle Bells. Back in the day, each puppet was lucky to get 5 minutes of air time! What ever happened to the good old days of watching Ernie pull the nose off of Bert?

Grover is my fave!

Grover, Big Bird and Oscar kick ass.

Did anyone else wish for a Strangle Me Elmo after the Tickle Me Elmo crap? I know I did. That would have been a very entertaining toy.

Elmo is the most annoying puppet. Someone needs to pull out his stuffing! I used to love SS. I remember the 2 alien dude that said YUP YUP YUP YUP YUP... scared the living sh*t out of me. Id bawl my eyes out and make my dad turn off the TV. That Charlie Chaplin guy scared me too!:eek: Eh well I still prefer Mr.Rogers over SS- not that I watch it.. but when I have kids Im gonna have them watch Mr.Rogers as toddlers instead of that damn Nick Jr.

Anyways ELMO ROCKED! Of course I like all the others like Zoey, Bert, Ernie, Big Bird, Oscar the Grouch, Grover, Cookie Monster, Kermit de frog etc. But I love Elmo the most.

I love Elmo when he was on THE FRUGAL GORMET with that old guy in the kitchen (cooking show)!!!!!!!! He was cool!

And I always liked the scenes where Grover is the waiter and people hated him cuz he never got the order right!


Oh, and anyone remember the book with him saying something about a wall? It had 2 books as i remember.....I think it was you can never get past my wall or something? Because I remember him building a lot of walls!

I DON'T GET THE DEAL WITH ELMO!!!! WHAT'S UP WITH THAT???:mad: :confused: COOKIE MONSTER RULES!!!! I remember watching it back in the 70's when it was good, and the main guys were Big Bird, Cookie Monster, Oscar the Grouch (also played by the guy who did Big Bird--notice how you never saw them together??), Grover, Ernie and Bert, Kermit the Frog...I have a feeling that since Jim Henson's death, they could only deal with one Muppet, so they decided to make Elmo the "star"--and I don't see the big deal. I haven't watched it for ages, but I'm not aware of any special gimmick that Elmo's supposed to have...

I loved Big Bird! And Bert and Ernie were cool. But Elmo's cute. Shoot, I liked them all! But Big Bird...he was the best!

They're all cool. If I had to pick four SS puppets, they'd have to be Elmo, Big Bird, Bert and Ernie. And if I had to pick four Muppets, it's definitely Kermit, Miss Piggy, Gonzo and Fozzie...
