I Was always under the Impression that it was a spinoff because of the Love American Style episode, But lately ive been wondering. Do you consider it a Spinoff?

Yes and no because Love American Style was a show that presented a lot of stories with variety of actors. If it had been a show like Happy Days, with characters that not changed often, maybe it would be more of a Spinoff.

I agree. I don't consider it a spin-off, I consider that the PILOT.

I consider it more of a pilot.

I believe its the pilot, and I believe that the post 1980s was like an unreal spinoff. Just because it had changed so much..know what I mean?

I don't consider Happy Days a spinoff. It's a pilot to me too, especially since there were so many changes cast wise.

It was definitly a pilot. The story is they made it to be the 1st Happy Dyas pilot but the network decided not to do the show at the time. So they used it as an ep of Love, American Style.
