Anyone else besides me find cliquish people annoying?First off,I don't think it's right to purposely exclude other people, that you think aren't good enough to socialize with. It's a form of snobbery, really.People really should try and accept others as they are and not be so judgemental and negative towards others.:talk:

Well said.

I am a very anti-clique person. If you can't include everyone, don't include anyone.

1] I hate cliques. I was always the excluded one from the day I stepped foot into Kindergarten. People don't think cliques are that horrible, but sometimes they are so bad, they leave a permanent scar on you. They did for me.

2] I'm sorry if I've ever acted cliquey here. I don't mean to, and I really don't like to leave people out.

I Dont think theirs anything wrng with Cliques. Usually its justa group of friends, I Mean at one point in our lives almost all of us have been in one. However i agree with you on the Cliques that exclude people. Actually, The "Cliques" Ive usually been in were the ones that got rejected from everyone else. Yes thats right, I Was in a Clique with the nerds. The Nerds are the best group to hang around with. Populars are too arrogant, And than theirs the group of people that claim to be different from evryone with their Gothic Looks and whatnot, even though that basically seems to be an "In" thing to do these days

Not for me though, Nerds Rule!

Im in a clique that has been together since 4th grade [we're in 8th now] and i joined em in 7th grade and there aint nothing wrong w/ being in a clique. If some1 wants to hang out w/ us we let em but if they turn out to be a bitch then we ditch em. We recently dumped this girl [who has been in the clique since it started] cuz she was a real bitch and she was crying about it but i didnt really care cuz she was a real jerk to me. Later i found out that no1 ever really liked her, she was just following us around and they tried to be nice about it. Its really hard to believe she aint w/ us no more but im glad.

I don't particulary care for them. I think it's alright for people to form groups & hang around people like them is fine & just doin what people do, but when people exclude people for stupid ****, or b/c they think they're better, that's just wrong, imo.

I hate cliques, too. I think it's stupid if people don't want to invite new people into their group to hang out with. In my group of friends, we invite a new person into the group every year. And, I'm the kind of person who can get along with everybody at my school, so I can never understand why people have cliques.

All these divisions, cliques, groups or whatever have no logic. Goths- 9 out of 10 claim they are goths cos they want to be individual, not follow the flock, however when they resort to being individualists, they wear the exact same clothes etc. And do many people are goths, it's almost in the majority, so now Gothic, is 'the flock'. It is mainly goths without logic.

i am more or less in a clique or however you spell it and we aren't much more than a group of close friends. ours isn't bad we talk to people but i won't and i am very touchy about leting new people in that i don't know. i've been hurt by the preppy one and mine is the only reason im alive with all my problems and stuff. no one in my school gets along with me except them so that goes to show they aren't all bad

I get to witness clique action up close and in person. My boyfriend is on the varsity soccer and basketball team. He's a jock. Now, had I met him earlier this year. I doubt we would have given each other more than a second glance. I'm normal. I fit just about anywhere, but usually I hang out with the literary magazine staff. Because I met Josh years ago when the whole clique caste system still hadn't formed, we got along very well.

Because I am the girlfriend of a jock, I get "special privledge" to hang out with the rest of them, get to go to their parties and be their friend. Sometimes, I think that they're not understood. I've met football players who are some of the most wonderful people I've ever met, but act like *******s on the outside. And I've met football players who are really *******s. While they don't think they're better than everyone else, they act like they do because they have more confidence and generally look better.

In my school, the cliques are formed by people with common interests. Yeah, the sportos hang out together, but that's because they have a common interest in sports. I hang out with the lit bunch because I like to write. In my school, it's more singular. It doesn't matter what clique you're in, you could still shine with popularity. There are people on the football team who are complete nerds and people who hang out with the "nerds" who are the most sociable I've ever met.

The only thing we have is that if you're on a sports team, you're usually huge and scary. So of course, you act like you're the freakin' Sopranos. Being a girlfriend of a jock does invite its own advantages. The same people who used to bug me will leave me alone if they see a Varsity Soccer team jacket on my back. It usually throws me into groups of people I don't really want to hang out with, but I'm not gonna lie. I like any advantages I get. I like knowing that if anyone rags on me, 20 guys all twice my height and size will kick their ass. It doesn't work out that well for people who aren't in that "elite group" but it works fine for me, and I'm selfish.

I was in a little clique. It ruined my life.
I'm 100% against cliques. Why exclude people? It's better to have a wide circle of friends and be open to meeting and accepting new people.
