Of all soap operas, daytime, primetime, foreign, which ones do you hate the most? Here's my list:

"Port Charles" (1997-present, ABC)
"EastEnders" (1985-present, England)
"Beverly Hills 90210" (1990-2000, FOX)
"Melrose Place" (1992-1999, FOX)

I absolutely 100% hate all of those.

I wouldn't say I hate it, but I'm not to fond of Passions.

:eek2: Melrose Place rocks!!! :guitar: I can't stand Port Charles, it is a Dark Shadows rip off imo with terrible acting and horrible stories. Days of Our Lives is getting on my nerves, but I don't hate it. If it weren't for Juliet Mills, I'd say Passions sucks.

Oh yeah, I've been wanting to update my list and say that ever since style started running MP, I love it now. I used to think it was exactly like 90210, and that it was all silly like 90210, so I never really liked it. Then I watched it and liked it...

More shows to my list:

"General Hospital" (1963-present, ABC) I'm sure it was great in the early years and during the 70s and 80s and such, but currently, it sucks major eggs. Maurice Benard is perhaps the worst actor ever, and the Drab Four - Sonny, Carly, Jason, and Courtney - are all too damn annoying and are on every single day

"Days of our Lives" (1965-present, NBC) Once again I'm sure it was grand in its early years and the 70s and 80s, but currently, the characters are so boring and the vets are hardly even used.

I'm glad you like it :) I think Heather made that show so much better. 90210 was terrible in the early years. Shannen Doherty was never any good on that show. I think when Tiffani came into the show it grew up and wasn't a kiddy campy show. JMO :)

I disagree that Maurice Bernard is a bad actor but to each it's own. I really don't like the show Passions. :)

I've NEVER liked "Days Of Our Lives", IT SUCKS and that Deidra Hall gets on my nerves like no one else.

I also have never been fond of "The Colbys" or "Falcon Crest" and always thought that "Dallas" was kind of boring.

There is a difference between stating opinion and being annoying and look at that! Looks like that's exactly what this post was about. And it's VERY obvious. If your gonna diss her could you AT LEAST spell her name right. Oh my gosh you did that to get on my nerves. You know I could stoop to your level and say that I hated All My Children because of Susan Lucci but that'd be wrong because I'd be trying to make you mad on PURPOSE. I'm sorry, but I think factsoflife has a right to post what they don't like about DOOL, and if Deidre Hall is it, so be it. Everyone in the world isn't going to stop saying their opinions just to make you feel better. Think about it this way: If factsoflife hates Deidre Hall, just think about the millions who LOVE her.

JT, you don't understand the situation. It's not about her opinion, I don't care if someone doesn't like Deidre it's the fact that she said that JUST to get to me. She has been going around bothering me and some more members. If she doesn't like Deidre that's FINE with me, but she doesn't have to go around starting fights again.

Yes, I remember defending GH. But what I said to Jeannie was that she was being paranoid. Maybe that person wasn't saying that they didn't like Days because of her. Maybe she had nothing to do with it. Gosh! :)

I dont like Passions. I used to like it but it sucks now.

Well you are entitled to your own opinon, but don't you think that not having "so-called" pretty girls is a pretty lame reason to want a show to get canceled?

And i guess it depends on your definiton of "cute" but i think "GH" has a very attractive cast. And btw, it seems to me like "GH" is OVER-saturated with young people and doesn't have enough older people on it, i mean where oh where is Bobbie, Tony, Monica, Alan, Audrey, Helena, Felicia and so on.

Passions. I'm sorry, but IMO, it is the sorriest excuse for a soap.

That is how I feel about Port Charles. It has vampires, slayers and other stupid things. If you want to watch a show with vampires and slayers watch Buffy The Vampire Slayer. It is WAY better than Port Charles. The acting, the stories and the writers, everything is better than Port Charles. I just don't understand why Port Charles ripped off Dark Shadows, that is the original soap with vampires and other supernatural stories.

At the present PASSIONS!!!!!!!!! That stupid show replaced a wonderful soap like Another World, what idiot did that?

Beverly Hills 90210 is highly overrated, Young and the Restless I can't stand much anymore, stories drag on like Passions do. General Hospital and OLTL suck right now, so I don't care for them much.

Oh I highly disagree, PC is nothing and I mean noting like Dark Shadows, have you ever watched PC, I find that people who bash it are the ones who have never watched it. I would never do that to a show I have never bothered to watch.

If it's such a rip off then why does it get praise from tv guide, soap mags(who are notorious for playing favs). This quote from last weeks tv guide: "Make no mistake PC is more exciting and innovative than ABC's other 3 soaps combined"-Michael Logan-July 19-25th TV Guide

PC is helluva lot more interesting than Passions, now that show is a waste of airspace. Zombies? Talking Dolls, no way would PC touch that with a ten foot pole.

Gh all about Mobsters and women punching and slapping each other. OLTL all about Jen the slut, who's trying to get a minister in training to leave his calling for her. Hmmm what should I choose from ABC? Let's not forget that OLTL was the Mitch Lawrence hour for almost Six months, GH was the Brenda Barrett/Vanessa Marcil hour for 4 months, now GH is the Sonny/Carly/Jason/Courtney hour aka the mobster hour, you wanna talk about ripping off, what do they think GH is the Sopranos? Hardly!

All My Children is the only soap of OLTL and GH that actually resembles what a soap should be about, it has balance, and great acting

I despise Port Charles and I really can't stand OLTL.

Yes I use to watch PC. I was really into it, I liked it. But then it got kind of lame after a few weeks and I couldn't stand it. I read an article about the girl who plays Lucy, she said her character is like Buffy, the whole show is going gothic, that is when I just decided to tune to Buffy and Dark Shadows for my gothic shows.

Y&R storylines have always dragged on.

The Young and The Restless - I think its massively overrated to me

The only soaps I like are:

Days of our Lives (my favorite TV show of all-time)
All My Children
Passions
Port Charles
Sunset Beach


All the others I have no use for.

I only watch Y&R and think the others are far substandard. However, with the genre being a dying breed I wish nothing but success for all of the remaining soaps and hope they somehow get the chance to flourish for several more years.

I’m hoping DAYS lasts until at least 2020, that’ll be their 55th anniversary. Even better if they make it to their 60th anniversary in 2025.

I’m a DAYS super fan. I know way too much about its history. :crazy:
