I am trying to find out in what episode the name of Lovey Howell was revealed to be "Eunice." I find references to this being her first "name," but hey, I want proof! Thanks.

View Full Version : Lovey Howell vs. Eunice Skipper Paul 03-30-2001, 04:12 PM I am trying to find out in what episode the name of Lovey Howell was revealed to be "Eunice." I find references to this being her first "name," but hey, I want proof! Thanks. A Gilligan Fan ss 03-30-2001, 05:44 PM I think the episode where Mrs. Howell's first name is said is on episode #67 - "Mr. and Mrs.?" (That episode is coming on ch.6 2:30 am eastern time.) RCDramaQueenJC 06-09-2001, 03:58 PM Ya know Eunices are ONLY guys. Cause We are studing the book of esther and Eunices were the people who took care of the woman like the "kings" and they would have SOMETHING that girls dont got removed so they cant do stuff to them RCDramaQueenJC 06-09-2001, 03:59 PM WAIT never mind i am thinking of something else sorry! ficlopri 07-11-2001, 11:30 PM There was no single episode where Lovey's actual first name of "Eunice" was ever mentioned. Sherwood Schwartz merely felt that if Lovey ever had to have a real first name in any ep for any reason it was to be "Eunice". madmonsterparty 10-17-2001, 11:26 PM In the first episode, the radio announcer refers to her as Lovey Howell. Also in the ep where gilligan wins a sweepstakes and invites his friends to the Howell's, the prof calls them Thurston and Lovey. This would indicate her first name is actually Lovey. Of course in the ep where the women go to the other side of the island, Mr. Howell calls to "Lovey dear" and later says "Who else on this island calls my wife Lovey?" indicating it may be a pet name he uses. I don't know where S.S. got the Eunice from, but it could just be another story inconsistency. GI is full of them. |
