I used to have them; they sucked pretty bad. Especially when I got them tightened...owwwww. And the rubber bands are no picnic either.

I liked my orthodontist, personally. He was pretty good.

My 1st orthodontist sucked... he put braces on me in 3rd and 4th grade, I was too young for em! And my 2nd one was fine...

I had braces for almost 4 years before I got them off in December. I hated them, I'm so glad they are off and personally, I think my orthodontist is a quack.

Yea I have them. They really suck. I think I'm getting them off soon though THANK GOD. But yea, they really suck. And it's even worse when they're tightened. That hurts almost as much as when you first get them on. And I dunno if rubber bands hurt or not cuz well, I've never had em...

I had them from May of 4th grade to March/May of 7th grade. So, 3 years.

I didn't mind them, but I didn't exactly like them. I would always swallow the rubberbands by accident. The end result was obviously beautiful and worth it, though

And as for my ortho, he's great. I never minded the appointments

I wore them for four years. They hurt like hell. My orthodontist was very nice. My teeth shifted agsin after I got them off, so now I have to wear a retainer again.

I've never seen so: Is a retainer still a rather large device that is connection to your teeth, but also sits outside of your head?

I got my braces off this past November. I had them on for a year and 11 months. They weren't that bad. I hated getting them tightened though. And the rubberbands weren't great either. But for me the worst part of the whole process is these damn retainers I have to wear. I hate them so much. Oh, and my ortodontist is really nice. He's funny too.

Well, I've had braces two times, with two different orthodontists. The first time I had braces for a year. I was in 3rd grade, so my teeth were falling out and growing in. It was basically a waste of money. It was really annoying and I hated my orthodontist. He thought he was the best doctor in the world. Then, in 7th grade, I got braces again. It didn't bother me this time. The beginning was annoying though, because one of my teeth was sort of turned in, so he had to put this loopy wire thing on, that scraped my lip and the wax didn't really work. But he took it off a couple of months later and it didn't really bother me. I never wore the rubber bands. I just put them on the day of my visit and I'd ask for another bag at the end of my appointment. Lol. I hate having to wear a retainer. I didn't wear my first one and I had to get a new one. I love my orthodontist though. He's so cool and a lot of the people I know go to him, so it's cool. :D

Ive never liked braces. My dentist said I probably shouldve gotten them. Theyre not that bad- one sticks out on the bottom, but I really dont care. Least I have all my teeth.

My teeth are really striaght and ive never had braces. My bottom teeth are a wee bit crooked tho but i dont want braces on em.

I just got mine on last month...I think they are ok... but the inside of my bottom lip is all scratched up... My orthadontist is really sweet so yes i like my braces....i have 4 years until i get them off

even tho you claim Casey smells?? haha I just got mine in July(tops) and Dec. ( Bottoms) I dont mind them too much... but i dont exactly love them.. I know ill be happy when i have perfect teeth
