Well it certainly looks like 8 simple rules is falling in the ratings. And Pav please don't tell me it's doing well in it's time slot because overall the show is near 50 in the ratings. Which means the show is losing viewers each week-LOL.

Two words: American Idol.

Overall ratings do not mean anything, that 8pm half hour is loaded with competition--American Idol, JAG and 8 Simple Rules, all 3 are doing good. Also, 8 Simple Rules continues to do well, it's only down 10-15% up against American Idol. It will be back to it's top 25-30 when American Idol leaves. Reality TV is killing scripted shows, and this is not good.

This show is clearly the top new sitcom, sorry Still Standing, if it weren't for Everybody Loves Raymond, it would be canceled.

Ratings info for this past Tuesday night:
Although Fox's American Idol opened the night with a typically winning 13.1/18, CBS's competing JAG held up considerably well with a 10.5/15. Ditto for ABC's 8 Simple Rules (#3: 8.0/11), NBC special Most Outrageous Game Show Moments 3 (#4: 7.8/12) and the WB's always-dependable Gilmore Girls (5.3/ 7).
