Anyone know if there is an update to that case where a young military(possibly CIA agent) disappeared and then a year or something later his sister I think it was, saw him driving a car at a gas station and he stared at her and took off??? She was unable to catch him.

I recall that the last name was Borton. Unfortunately, no update has ever been given. :(

This case is on volume 15. Oddly, I don't think either picture looks much like him, but the family would know much better than I do

That case intrigued me and from time to time I wonder about it. I have heard that many American remains in Southeast Asia consist of only teeth as the grave robbers steal other bones for a thriving trade there. The teeth drop out and they don't bother to take those. Don't know if dental records would be of any use when the teeth are not in place. To prove identity, they'd have to check DNA from the teeth to his family--then how could you prove he's not alive somewhere, minus a few teeth?

He was not CIA, he was in a branch of the military. Whether his family thinks he is/was CIA is another story.
I personally find his family hard to believe, as I've expressed in other threads. I just don't believe alot of their stories, as they come off as contrived and always involved situations that could have been easily cleared up. I am sorry for their pain and grief, but it just doesn't add up.
ETA: Sorry, I didn't see that your post had him designated as "possibly CIA agent."

He might have been thinking of the White Sands guy. That's who I thought the post was about. Then I realized that I had the two cases mixed up.
