I alway feel guilty about things. Like I will do something and feel really bad avbout it. I can';t do anythign without thinking "ohj that is bad or you are goin to hell for that" (which i knwo isn' true but my brain tells me that) and I can't stop it. Does anybody else ever feel this way?? Can anyone help?

This might sound crazy - but don't think! If your natural instinct is telling you to do something then just do it. Don't worry about the consequences or the repercussions. Of all of the decisions I have made in my life, the best ones have always been the ones I have made on the spur of the moment.
Ok, so you may feel guilty afterwards but what is done is done and worrying won't change that. Everyone makes good and bad decisions - as long as you don't intentionally harm or hurt anyone else then you are not gonna be "going to hell".

I think I can see where your coming from, I usually feel bad for alot of things thats why I don't think I am that mean...I regret things alot but you have to let go, you can't change them. And just try to have a better attitude tomorrow, because 'tomorrow is another day'

I agree with Mossopp- thinking too much can be the worst thing.
As to how to stop feeling guilty, just try to accept that you cant change the past so theres no use worrying about it. I guess one of the best things I was ever told relating to that is the "definition of a mistake" (this is kind of weird but i think it helps...)
Mistake- look at the word "Mis-take" as in a camera-take (take one, take two, take three, and so on...) It was a take that didnt go quite right, so you ignore it and tape over it, try again. It was a mis-take so theres no use worrying about it anymore. Get it?

I feel guilty the same as you do sometimes, but I try to imagine people a lot worse than me somehow made their way to Heaven

yeah i guess. Thanks guys. But I mean like i feel guilty for things out of my control. I'll give you an example.
My step father's Dad, Jim is in the hospital and he is very sick. He is in the CCU and are not sure if he will live. Well, I did something a few weeks ago and my mind was like "if you do this your step dad's dad will die." I have no idea why i thought that. I am so confused. Why is this happening to me? I eman that is ridiculous and is totally out of my control.
P.S. will you pray for him? It is very upsetting for the family an they need a lot of strength and comfort. Thanks.

I wish I felt guilty about things. I dunno...I'm starting to scare myself.....like I don't feel guilty for things. Like yelling at people or hurting people's feelings. Good God....I knew I was screwed up, but not this bad...

I feel guilty about stuff all the time. I constantly apologize when I've said something that might have offended someone, even if it hasn't or if I meant it to offend. I also have a hard time lying b/c I feel so guilty. Just once I'd like to b**** someone out w/o my conscience getting in the way.
