Kay Scarpetta 02-26-2003, 05:11 PM He should be a guest-star on "I'm a celebrity- GET ME OUT OF HERE!"...anyway.
Does everyone think he's guilty? I mean I haven't exactly been following the case, so I don't know if anything has been proven or whatever, but what do you think?

Very good.
I really couldn't care less about what he has to say.
I'm sure it will be something along the lines of "I didn't do it," so I'm going to pass on this one.

Does everyone think he's guilty? I mean I haven't exactly been following the case, so I don't know if anything has been proven or whatever, but what do you think? Nothing has been proven at all. Today (2/27) is only the second day of the preliminary hearings. The trial has barely begun.
Janice 02-27-2003, 12:31 PM I watched the 20/20 interview and this is truly a broken man. I haven't followed the case closely, but from what I saw last night, I'm not convinced of his guilt. Ballistics can't match the gunpowder to him.
A former stuntman on Baretta said Blake approached him to kill his wife, but who really knows the deal there.
As for parking so far away from the restaurant, Blake's 36 year-old daughter was interviewed, and said she's been going to that restaurant with him since she was five. They always parked a few blocks away to walk off the heavy Italian meal. I believe her. She's a professor of sociology.
I had him guilty in my mind, which is wrong. I'll wait to see how the trial shakes out.
Since they waited so long after the murder to arrest him, I have a feeling that they've got a lot of evidence. They want to make sure they get a conviction to avoid another celebrity murderer walking away like O.J. Simpson.
It's interesting that he's been behind bars for almost a year and Phil Spector made bail immediately.

They discussed that on Howard Stern this morning.
Apparently, the evidence suggests that the murder was premeditated; Blake made plans to have his wife killed, so he presents more of a risk to the outside world, and a greater flight risk.
The Spector case looks like an accident, so he was allowed bail.
I believe that's the reason.
