It's kind of sad to see how she looks today. I also understand (I think from a Rue article I read) that Betty went to see her several months ago and Estelle didn't recognize her. She went down hill really fast. Such a shame...

My understanding is that it is both Parkinson's and Alzheimer's. In her IP on Lifetime, she was already showing a lot of the Parkinson's symptoms. However, there has never been an official diagnosis of her disease -- or rather, an official declaration to the public about it.

That website is the best source I can offer --- although it is not regularly updated. I guess, due to Estelle's health, there isn't much to comment on anymore. :(
