STUPID P.O.C.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i want to see my buddy list now dangit. anyone else having this prob?

AOL sucks.

I tried signing on and off like 10 times before my buddlist finally showed up. I say we all turn to MSN messenger. :p

I heard that they got sued a few times for trying to look so good on their commercials :lol:

and now the damn service had the nerve to kick me off even tho i JUST restarted my computer. *goes to walmart to break every single one of those damn AOL cds they give out*

Lol AOL...i remember when I used to use that horrible internet service. Three horrible years. It was always sooooo slow...nothing like what they say on the commercials "AOL is FAST!" hahahahahahaha right. 5.0 was okay for me but 6.0 and 7.0 seriously hated me. At random times when I'd be online, my buddy list would completely disappear. And then what that would appear to be on people on my buddy list's computers would be that I was signing off and on. I really wasn't. My buddy list was just disappearing. But then there were times when I'd be talking to a lot of people minding my own business and suddenly AOL disconnects and I'd have to sign back on again. This buddy list problem went on for a loooooooooooooooooooooooong time so one day I tried downloading AIM and using that. But god AOL wouldn't even let me go on that. It would keep disconnecting. I remember how bad I used to want AOL, then when I finally got it, I hated it.

But now I have a cable modem and I love it........

As the Only AOL non hater here(I used to hate aol like all of you till they released aol 8.0, Now I love it, though AOL is full of advertisements which can get annoying, Ive never had any probs with it though, err ok I take that back, Ive had a few but they are all gone now :))..Lets see.. Yeah. Once I deleted it, uninstalled it, then brought it back. Still the same. Then another time I got a 7.0 CD rom from ummmm...I forget where, anyway, I put that in and it actually worked. Have a lotta Memory on computer? Did they ever give explanation as to why it wasn't working right?

you ever notice that people say AOL sucks but they never cancel their membership? If AOL isn't working right it's usually your connection because I have a cable modem and it works great and haven't had problems in a long time

I don't even use the IM/Buddy list,but I still think AOL sucks.There are too many glitches and it acts up too much:mad:

I didn't like AOL very much because I wasn't able to access administrative features (closing threads, making threads sticky, etc.) because of the way they handle cookies. Another reason is because of that awful RainMan. I have Road Runner and now everything loads fast. RR works exactly the way it's advertised.

Much more probably.. AOL is 23.90.... (And around 57 I think for AOL Broadband), Road Runner is probably 50 bucks a month but thats just a guess

according to DSLReports Roadrunner is around 45 a month...

I thought AOL was cheaper. I only pay $19 a month for my service. The only reason I complain that it's so lsow is because I've had this computer since March 98. I know someone who has a new one and the service is pretty fast and usually never down. :p

Roadrunner is the same thing as AT&T Broadband which is what I have here in Massachusetts, it was called Roadrunner until AT&T bought out the cable company.

Maybe now they do but before Cox Communications owned it which was the cable company I had before AT&T bought it.

I'm having troubles with my AOL , its getting me kinda pissed i was on it yesterday it was running slow as hell, and it kept on booting me off when i try to talk to one of my friends, then my monitor just went black and frozed I was NOT happy i'm getting a new computer soon anyways this one i have now is a piace of crap!

All i use is AIM aol sucks. they charge u to much. have u ever seen that comercial when they go who payes 19.99 a month ? an aol user and they tell u to switch to msn.:p

AOL works great for me, lol. It never disconnects me and everything shows up when it's supposed to. *Shrug* I guess I'm just lucky or something. O_o

OK,people I had to delete my AOL 8.0 AGAIN,i think version is a pain in the @$$, Never get it, Im back to 7.0 and that never boots me off or disconnects me,and this morning when i went online it gave me more problems, it wasnt just mine it was everybodys..i hope it works tonight :rolleyes:

I was gonna use the free trial for AOL 8.0, since my cable modem went out. I loaded the software, but I couldn't get my modem to work with it. But I thought the colors on the newest version were pretty! :D

lol it was the opposite for me. AOL 7.0 always disconnected me or froze my computer. AOL 8.0 never does that to me. *Hugs AOL 8.0 and hisses at 7.0* Werm. Maybe the computers can't run AOL 8.0 very well because of memory, etc.? I'd think 7.0 would not use as much as 8.0. Werm.

AOL 7.0 for Windows 95/98/ME needs at least 32mb of ram, thats the minimum.. while its 64mb of RAM for those on XP


AOL 8.0 for all Windows needs at least 64mb of RAM... So yep Your going to need a lotta memory...


Having right at the Minimum(64mb RAM) will freeze up AOL a lot most likely... To have 8.0 running smooth you need 128MB RAM or more.. IMO at least..

I had to delete 7.0 again now im down to aol 6.0 and its working alot better! I just have to get rid of errors that come up! Does anyone know any websites, to get images for ur webpage easy designer? If so can u pleaze help me? Thanxs ...Also do u know any good music, to put in ur webpage, like any websites? I know they have trixies. things and that but i wanna try something differnt! If anyone knows please help me!!!thanxs alot
