This might be slightly off topic, but tonight's show in which the coach expects Beaver to be as good in basketball as Wally, and then has to drop him from the team for not being very good, reminds me of my best friend in school. My friend's older brother, Robbie, maintained a 96% average, was a star at most of the school sports, had a very outgoing but really nice personality, had the most attractive girlfriends, etc., etc., etc. He was very nice to my friend (his younger brother) too, although he teased him a little. Robbie was a real high class act - certainly the soul of courtesy whenever I was over at their house visiting my friend. The problem was, though that just like in this episode, every time my friend showed up for a new class, the teacher asked, are you related to Robbie _______? It was a very tough act for my friend to follow, especially since he was very shy and not confident - not nerdy, but quiet. My friend was actually very bright, but it wasn't obvious to anyone who didn't know him well. When my friend reached the upper levels of high school, he started to come out of his shell, though. Today he's a very successful real estate lawyer in my home town. I imagine that this situation happens a lot out in the real world.
